The script wasn't very long, only two or three pages, but every shot involved multiple in-camera exposures. We started at about ten in the morning and didn't finish until 1:00 or 2:00 a.m. the next day. The shot involving the spanking was one of the last we did. Everyone was tired and cranky. In order to do the shot, we had to bend the artist over a high stool draped in black velvet. Perched precariously over the stool, with her skirts pushed up over her ass, the artist asked when the musician was going to arrive to do the scene. I lied and said I had totally forgotten to call him when, of course, I had never called him at all. She asked, "Well, who's going to do the spanking, then?!" Since I had dismissed the PAs, at around midnight, there was no one left on the set except me and the cameraman. So, I told her innocently, there was no alternative, but for me do it. She wasn't too happy about this and said her boyfriend would be really jealous if he found out. I said I would be sure to leave a memento on her butt for him to remember me by. At this point the cameraman told us to shut up and shoot the scene. I really wanted to go for it, just smack the hell out of her ass, but I had to spank her with a light, mechanical rhythm to make the shot work. Plus, I was afraid if I hit her too hard, she would tumble off the stool, onto her head. A week later, we were watching the footage, which turned out beautifully. A friend of ours was there and when it got to the spanking part he asked whose hand was doing the work. The actress pointed at me, laughed and said, "He did and boy did he hate doing it!" So, everything ended well. The film turned out nicely, the actress was pleased with the results and I got to capture myself on celluloid spanking her. Oh, and the boyfriend?
