I can answer that question now. Lezervoir Dogs was simply not up to the standards of what I want Evolution to produce, so I shitcanned it. I trusted an industry vet and he failed me miserably. ( I should have had a clue when he didn't want me to use his known directing name!)
This was a very expensive lesson to learn, but I don't want to put something out there that I would have to make excuses for. I don't know what I'm going to do with the movie, maybe sell it to another company. I like the name Lezervoir Dogs, so maybe I'll re-shoot the whole thing and put it out later.
I think I'm assembling a real good stable of directors now, so hopefully I won't ever have this problem again. I know you can't hit a home run every time, but I want Evolution to have the HIGHEST batting average in the biz!

Thanks for the response Tom!! Sorry the movie wasn't up to snuff, to use a Quentin movie reference guess you will use Mr. White to shoot this next time!! BTW the previews for Kill Bill are awesome!! I do think you should keep the name as it's very catchy and immediately conjures up some cool images!! I wish you luck on finding the right person to helm this project and I do hope Evolution will try to do it a bit differently than any one else. I only today found out about this opportunity so I missed out on the (Im assuming) fun. I was just wondering if Ms. (Dani) Woodward made it to the chat and updated anyone with her situation (ie; is she still in the business).
Dani confirmed that she did take a little break from the business, but that she is back full fledged and is even in negotiations as we speak for a contract with a well-known company.
