I'd like to kick this thread off with a suggestion, and see if any of the studios bite.
A few years ago, Evil Angel released Defend Our Porn which convinced me that comps can be great. They filmed one new scene, a comeback by Tricia Devereaux (who had never left the business, but had merely stopped performing). The new scene was far from my favorite as jerk off fodder, but the fact that Tricia was so deeply involved in Evil Angel's legal struggles made it special.

Watching it, I had the idea of a "Spiegler Girls" comp. I'm imagining a collection of some of the best scenes filmed by a particular studio including both current and former Spiegler Girls. I imagine that a lot of the girls would agree to on-camera interviews, as would Spiegler.
There could also be one new scene, possibly a lesbian orgy or reverse gangbang (I doubt Spiegler would be up for performing, but if he could handle it, that would be something really new).
Alternately a former Spiegler girl might agree to come out of retirement to shoot one scene. (Annette Schwarz recently made an unexpected appearance on this forum, but this list of former Spiegler Girls suggests some other possibilities.)
From an 'artistic' perspective, I think Evil Angel would be the ideal studio.
As a marketing ploy, it might work best for Elegant Angel. The loss of Mason and William H. meant the loss of a lot of their most loyal customers. The comp would include enough scenes directed by their former directors to attract their lost fans, who would then watch the best scenes by their new directors, giving the studio a chance to win back some fans.
Anyway, it's just an idea that's been kicking around in my head, and I realized that this forum might benefit from a thread devoted to current and former Spiegler girls, so start replying...

Edited to cover up the fact that I didn't pay attention in second grade when my teacher made us chant, "I before e except after c."

I mean, there's about 20-30 current studios that could do it (because seriously, his girls work for pretty much every major and most slightly less than major studios), but I don't think anyone would, because Spiegler's name as a brand doesn't mean anything to the vast majority of the porn buying audience. And for fun, I might actually argue that you could get a better DVD out of LA Direct's girls (current and former), but they're nowhere near as good of an agency as Spiegler for a few reasons.
Also, the only reason that Defend Our Porn got the scenes/involvement it did (and therefore works as well as it does) is because it was directly tied to Stagliano's legal fund. This, on the other hand, would be a comp made for company profit and nothing else, which would decrease people's reasons for wanting to put extra work into it.
All that being said, it would actually be a fun thought experiment to make this DVD in your head and pick out the scenes on it. With any one of a whole bunch of different companies (Evil Angel, Elegant Angel, Brazzers, Naughty America, Kink, whomever).

You're right about this. In my initial mental effort to develop a counter-argument, something bigger for the industry came to mind.
The mainstream media loves to talk about porn, and they have certain narratives they return to. When the porn industry shows up, they normally play the role assigned by the media, so Belle Knox showed up to defend her work.
Most industries try to take control of the media message, and the entertainment industry does this particularly well.
Spieg is enough of a character, and his girls are big enough stars, that the media might give them some time on camera. I could imagine Spiegler showing up on the John Stewart Show with a girl on each arm, not to defend the industry, but to promote a DVD.
In real life, my recommendation would be to leave the selecting of scenes to Spieg, the girls, and people at the studio who know their catalog very well. In fact, simply asking the girls why they chose this scene would provide footage for the interview segments.
As a thought experiment one scene comes to mind:
Sasha Grey's debut scene in Fashionistas 2. It would provide an opportunity for Spiegler to talk about how he screens his clients and give the opportunity to tell the story of how Sasha Grey approached him.
