Saw the new US version of this GGG film, and while I haven't seen the original German GGG version, I'll try to do a quick comparison anyway, based on having seen a couple other of the actual German editions.
They've added a new title (obviously), and added some lines of poetry on screen before each chapter. There are only 3 chapter marks (one for each act), which is more than the German version (which has no chapter marks at all) but is still not enough - I mean, it makes sense, one chapter mark for each act, but they could have added more within each act.
In the German editions, the model who is to be the "prime target" for the next act typically is seen in a dance/strip routine (I'd call it a strip routine except they're naked pretty much from the start), which then leads into the sex. In this US edition, the dance routine is cut out ("because the music was really, really bad" it says) and placed on the disc as a deleted scene you can access from the menu. This in my opinion is a mistake. They should have left it in place, where it served to let you know what the intent of the next scene was, as well as the only chance to see what the performer looks like before she is...a bit obscured, one might say.
The video quality is as good or better than the results I get converting PAL to NTSC. So on that score, the US edition may be a fine choice.
Is there anything completely cut out? I think there may be a couple minutes but I'll need to compare it to the previews of the German versions that I have on the German DVDs to tell for sure. But they did not seem to be cutting anything for the sake of cutting anything that might be too shocking. The tell tale cuts seemed to be for time - like when some guy was taking too long.
As for the film itself, this isn't a review but I will say that it was kind of disturbing in that one of the women clearly did not like being there, and was making every effort to aim men's dicks away from her. Why? Well oddly, I don't think it was the men that bothered her, but rather the presence of Betty, who sat behind her and sort of dominated her, holding her head and hands. I suspect this became a bit clausterphobic for her. This is a rare case when Betty should not have been around. Betty similarly got on the nerves of another of the models in another scene, and they actually came to blows - Betty slapping the woman once in an effort to distract her from gagging, to which the woman slapped her back. They later were smiling and happy together, but I don't think they were acting - Betty was not welcomed by either of the models, and they would have done better without her there. On that score, this film was not as enjoyable as some other GGG films. If one is going to go to this extreme, they better be doing so because they're enjoying it, you know?
