I will speaking with a women who potentially wants to collaborate with me, and I'm closer than ever to producing my own content. But I know diddly about 2257 regulations.
From what I read, 2257 regulations require a copy of two forms of identification from the talent (which isn't a problem), a signed 2257 compliance form, and a model release form. But I don't know what else comes with it.
Are there any porn producers among the adultdvdtalk that knows how to properly file 2257 compliance forms and model release forms?
Any solid answers will help.
Thanks in advance.

that's pretty much it, though you do also need to have "normal hours" where your records can be examined, if need be. Last time I checked on this (years ago) there were services that could do that for you. (or me, being in CA)
i doubt that requirement has changed... but.. I wouldn't take my word on it, a random jerk on the internet who is here to watch porn. :)

If you're in the US, consult a lawyer, preferably one specialized in adult.

I did. Gave me the 411 on what to do. I know what I need to have, but I just need to know how do I go about presenting it, particularly cross-referencing.
I'm just a content producer looking to earn extra income, so I don't have the money to hire a lawyer. All I need is the know how or an example about how to cross-reference information. So far, all I got is lack of clarity.

Never mind. I got my answer. I found 2257Snap (dot) com. I'll learn Microsoft Access as well, so I can have an offline record in case internet is down.
But do I need a model release and 2257 release for each scene, even if I have the performer on record?

Yes. Remember that the release form is a disclaimer saying the model/actress has granted you permission in writing to release and distribute the content by any means she agreed to on the form. As a result, you are absolved of criminal or civil liability if she attempts to sue financially or sue to have the content withdrawn. It only refers to content shot on the date(s) specified on the form. If you shot 2 scenes with the same model months apart and you only had a signed release form for the first scene, she could sue you to have the second scene taken down if she quit working in porn later on and wanted to erase her porn past as you don't have documented permission to release the second scene.
