I had a recent conversation with a supposed porn lover who I felt really had some terrible stereotypical thoughts about porn and porn stars. The industry is full of drugs and disease. The women are rape victims with daddy issues or mental problems. For a guy who claimed to love porn, he was very negative. I think that the industry has done a good job of staying clean both drug and disease wise and the women i think are open-minded, extremly sexual women. I really don't like negative judgements against anyone and I think this one is a truly horrible one. Agree, disagree, your thoughts.

You can cite me as someone who doesn't have daddy issues, diseases, or a drug problem, and I know I'm not alone when I point out that I've got a college diploma. There are plenty of well mannered, well educated women in this biz who you wouldn't be able to tell were porn stars by looking at their day to day lives, which means that the stereotype is bunk. Get us in front of a camera and POOF! We're porn actresses, voila!

I suspect that porn actresses simply represent a cross-section of the general population. If "daddy issues" refers to the high likelihood that girls get touched by adults in the family or beyond the family (I've seen estimates as high as 60% of girls), then it's clearly a general population issue. Lot's of boys get touched too, I've seen estimates higher than 20%.

Yea i have met people before who have unfair, and flawed views on pornstars and porn altogether. I would not however consider these people passionate porn lovers who have a little better understanding of the business than the average guy. Most of those guys can't watch more than 5 minutes of porn without FAPin.
