OTOH for a remake, the original has to be sufficiently familiar in order to appeal to buyers. 70's and 80's porn is largely unknown to much of the present-day porn audience. So a remake of "Behind the Green Door" will be regarded as just another porn flick, and it will succeed or fail based on whether it has enough gagging, puking, ATM, gaping, booty close-ups and DP's and that the boxcover features a 'hot chick'. Although John Holmes producer said otherwise with the Johnny Wadd films. Plotted porn has never been that easy to shoot. Often taking 18 hours a day, which tends to kill energy when the sex actually happens. [Link] |
