I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to get a subscription to AVN Magazine or is it only made for industry people. I have went to avn.com, but I can't find any info.
It's $78 per year ($140 for 2 years). Try calling the subscription department at (818)718-5799 or you can send your name, address, phone #, e-mail address, along with a signed statement saying that you are over the age of 18 to: AVN Magazine Circulation Department 9419 Eton Avenue Chatsworth, CA 91311
They will take a credit card. If you wish to use one, include: Type of card (Visa, MC, Amex), card number, and expiration date. Otherwise include a check or money order (there is no "bill me" option.
AVN owns several websites including avn.com, avnonline.com. among a few others. The correct url for their paper subscription is http://www.adultvideonews.com. If you go there, you can also subscribe online by clicking on the "SUBSCRIBE" tab at the bottom of the homepage.
It's INTENDED for industry people. I'm not a retailer but I subscribe to it. I like it but as a heterosexual there's one thing about the mag that I could do without: the amount of press devoted to Gay Porn. If AVN thinks that Gay Porn deserves as much attention as Straight Porn, perhaps they should put out a separate publication covering it! One more bit of advice. If you're worried about DISCRETE PACKAGING then you might want to pay extra for Priority Mail. Standard Packaging comes in a plastic wrapper (one side of it is opaque) that clearly allows the Mail Man, and any other ass-wipe that gets their hands on it, to see what exactly what you're getting!
Well, I get AVNonline magazine, and have been for about 2 years, free.
It comes in a black front plastic bag, clear back, with a white sheet of paper with my address, and the return address. Plus it says under the return address, exactly : "SEXUALLY ORIENTED MATERIAL"
But hey I'm a pervert, I get porn through the mail.
If I'm not mistaken, AVN Online and Adult Video News are two different magazines.
Yes they are different, though at the time I signed up I had no idea. I've been getting it for free ever since.
Not that I mind, 'cause I'm learning more and more about the personal confuser, so it's good.
I get two other magazines through the mail, they are Hustler and Penthouse, and they come wrapped tight, which means anyone can figure out what's inside. Well look at the bag and the return address, LFP and PH, or something like that.
