Stop it. You will give people an entirely wrong impression.

The host is a little elderly lady who gives sex advice and she's usually very funny but pretty good in her advice. Tonight she crossed the line however and released some info that she obviously didn't have the facts straight on. Thought you may be interested in the note I sent her.
I enjoy your show very much and watch it with my girlfriend as often as possible. I am actively involved in the adult industry in Los Angeles and needed to correct you on something you told a caller on tonight's show. When inquiring about making a porn film, a caller asked you if producers of porn require people to test for diseases. You responded, "Oh hell no, they don't care about those things." Just a little FYI: While testing may not be common for some private and amateur porn shoots around the world, the professional adult film industry, especially in porn valley, requires STD and HIV tests for performers. In fact, since the late 1990s, with the help of Sharon Mitchell and AIM Healthcare [http://aim-med.org], the early detection and monitoring of diseases within the porn community has been instrumental in making the sex industry a surprisingly safe place for adult actors to have unprotected sex with minimal exposure. You also pointed out that "no one in the porn business wears condoms in movies" and that performers don't have a say in the matter if they do or not. That is also incorrect as there are some big name movie companies that film their productions "condom only" and there are other companies that film their productions giving the actors choices whether or not they wish to wear condoms. From one show host to another, keep up the good work and in the future, please make sure to educate your audience correctly regarding these matters. This industry takes enough unnecessary hits from the mainstream media. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

"Sisphyean Task?", he muses. Just say "uphill battle", cobalt. Damnable Dennis Miller Syndrome. FINE. Nice letter, Wankus. Good idea, tilting at the small windmills first. I think I prefer to be thought of as about midway up the evolution chart, dripping dick in one hand, smashing a beer can on my forehead with the other, belching, mumbling something about "Little E" and them gotdam liberals. It's just easier that way. |
