Vivid Signs Sunrise Adams to Exclusive DealNews date: 2002-08-07
VAN NUYS, Calif. – Vivid Entertainment Group announced Wednesday that Sunrise Adams has become the newest Vivid Girl.
The 19-year-old native of Como-Pickton, Texas signed an exclusive two-year contract that entails eight pictures per year.
"It means a lot to me. I'll gives me stability and it means I'll be growing with their company," Adams told AVN.com. "I'm excited."
Adams said her famous Aunt, Sunset Thomas, used to tell her all about the adult industry and how it gives performers "the freedom to express yourself."
"It always kind of intrigued me so when I turned 18 she showed up out of the blue and brought me out here and here I am," Adams said. "I was a Sonic car-hop, which is like a waitress on roller-skates. She showed up at my work and swept me away."
She added, "We've always been really close. We used to play Barbies. She taught me and my sister how to masturbate for the first time. My whole family is really supportive."
Adams told AVN.com she loves the industry and it's "terribly misunderstood" by the general public. She started her career last February and has appeared in close to 50 titles so far. Some of her recent performances include April in January, Naughty College Schoolgirls 18, Hearts & Minds, Heroin, Up and Cummers 100, Pin-Up Girls and Sweetwater. Her Vivid debut is scheduled for September.
"When I first started I would describe myself as a young girl desiring to discover herself. … And now I describe myself as bipolar. One minute I'm innocent and sweet, the next minute…my head's spinning. I'm yelling and acting freakish. But I'm just an everyday girl. I'm not too skinny, not too fake. I'm…the girl next door."
