Right before Steph left DivaDee to start things here, I asked her about the selection of gay DVDs at DivaDee -- 38 titles total, compared to 98 at DVD Exotic, and 108 at Adult DVD Empire...
She replied that almost all of the additional titles at those sites were from the same distributor--SUNSHINE--and that DivaDee wasn't carrying them because, frankly, they thought the titles were crap...
Is DivaDee right? Has anyone purchased any of these titles? (The boxes look about the same as most, to me... And isn't there plenty of straight "crap" being sold?)
Should DivaDee be carrying them, to bring their selection up to the same level as its competitors? Or is it quality that matters?
I can really see both sides of this. Your thoughts?

I think this is a great question. Anyone lurking from Divadee that cares to answer this?
Is the issue just the quality of the product or the general quality of doing business with these other suppliers? I don't think that all of the adult studios are a pleasure to deal with.
Which online retailers carry stock on their gay titles?

I can't comment specifically on it's gay titles but I do have some comments on the Sunshine line in general.
Sunshine has one of the largest libraries of adult DVD titles (around 300 titles including about 60 gay). Also, Sunshine's prices are among the most affordable.
The problem with Sunshine DVDs is that they don't offer very much in terms of extras and some customers have been disapointed with the quality of the movies. I believe that consumers have come to expect a certain level of quality when it comes to DVD. When you comapre a Sunshine DVD with one from a leading studio (VCA, Vivid, Digital Playground etc.) the differences are quite obvious. Sunshine just doesn't stack up very well comapred to these other lines.
However, in many ways this might not be a fair comparison. It's almost like comparing a Yugo to a Cadillac. One gets you from point a to point b while the other is feature filled and luxurious.
In my opinion Sunshine is a good company and hopefully they will improve the quality of their DVD line.
