| Posted - Feb 14 2001 : 12:08PMWarning! Do not buy Sunshine dvds! Worst customer service I have ever dealt with in all my years of purchasing items online. I had 2 defective discs that would not play in either of my dvd players. I sent them back to the online stores(2 different orders), and they replaced them. The replacements were also defective. So I thought it would be better to return them directly to Sunshine.BIG mistake! I called them to see the status of the dvds, and the woman was very rude. She said there was nothing she could do, that I should not have returned the discs to them. Even after I explained the whole story she said I was out of luck. and there was no way that she could help me! Well I order lots of adult dvds, and Sunshine just lost a good customer. [Link] |

rojo The dvds are not defective. It's the dvdplayer that is giving you problems. I should know because I had two Sunshine dvds and it plays flawless on the Sony 560D..Panasonic 300A..and the players that won't accept them are..Toshiba 2109..and Toshiba 2200 and Toshiba 3109 (the toshiba 2200 and 3109 plays some, depending on which Sunshine titles.) sonic - sunshine produces a heck of a lot of dvds - with many duplication runs on each. it's very possible, even likely considering the lack of attention sunshine pays to quality, that the discs rojo got were defective.rojo - thanks for the warning on sunshine's service. they should have refunded your money. First I'd like to say that it's awful how they treated you over the phone rojo. That is fucked up. According to my review of a Sunshine title called Azz Good Azz It Getz ..I clearly remember that that title did not play on the Toshiba 3109 as well. So I have to retract my previous post and edit it.
Steph, you could be very right so I agree with you there, it's very possible. My understanding is..I always give the notch to the discs and blame many of the faults on the player. And I have a huge reason..but damn it's a long story if I talk about it.
By the way, I am not a big fan..or perhaps no fan at all of Sunshine.

rojo-It sounds like the 2 discs are not compatible with your machine which is different than the discs being defective. Toshiba machines made prior to 2000 are especialy prone to compatibility problems and these problems are not uniques to Sunshine titles. Trying to resolve this type of problem with the manufacturer is usually not a good idea. Most studios don't do a good job of dealing with customers on these issues. My suggestion would be to contact your retailer and ask for a refund or different replacement titles. If you have any problems getting replacement titles let me know and we will swap them for you. Well yes I do have a Toshiba dvd player. I have lots of Sunshine dvds that play fine. It was just this one title, that I bought 2 copies of that did not work. I even tried it on my imac dv, and still did not work. Problem is that I sent them to Sunshine, not knowing that they would screw me! Since I returned them once already to the online stores, I just did not want to keep bothering them , so I returned them to Sunshine. I bought one copy at DVDexotic and one copy at DVDadvantage . The tilte was Face Blasters[6 hours] All I wanted was replacements! Live and learn. [Link] |

I just wanted to thank everybody for their support. I never thuoght in a million years that I would get the response that I did from Sunshine. It's great to know that people are concerned enough to offer suggestions and support. What a GREAT forum this is! A very special thanks to Michael from DVDadvantage! [Link] |
