I ordered a couple of dvd´s from Superglam, namely Mia Vol. 1 and Nikki Vol. 1. The first gripe I have is that it took them over three weeks to get these dvd´s in stock + one and half weeks to deliver them to me. Total delivery time, one month. And this is within EU folks...

Bursting with anticipation I go to the postbox to retrieve the package. Uh oh, something feels wrong? Whats this, an ordinary envelope? And no dvd packages inside, instead, it feels like plain ordinary cd cases... I proceed rip open the package.

Hmm, somebody seems to have toyed with a color printer and did that badly. Yup, that´s right, feels just like homebrew... Or a pirated copy. Low res images used as material for covers? Oh come on, it isn´t that expensive to use "real" dvd packages and covers.

Right, well, ok, at least the contents must be good? I heard this little voice warning me of the risk of having too high expectations. And boy, was that little voice right.

I popped the paper etiquetted dvd´s (Real quality? Yeah, right...) one after another to my comp to have a quick look at the menu layout and video quality.

Video quality: In one word, abysmal. Compression artifacts, breaking up of gradual tones, colors look plain, overt softness, very much like a VCD. In this day and age of native digital video I really expected a much higher quality image. This is unbearable.

Lighting: Inconsistent. Sometimes the scenes are murky. Sometimes the lighter shades are burnt due to the fact that they shot against a backlight.
How about hiring someone who can do that right?

Sound: Ok, no name electronic music on the background. I think I could have lived without it.

Sex: Uh, yeah, well, the solo scenes could have been enjoyable if the video quality would have been better. Now, no chance in hell.

Talking of photoshoots, when they advertise that the dvd´s have over 500 HQ pictures on their site I really expected them to be separate jpg´s insted of a VOB slideshow...

And the fact that they used stuff from the other photoshoots and not of the actual videos as cover material is more than a bit deceptive.

Hopefully, despite the fact that I really feel betrayed and also a bit angry, nobody would interpret this as a simple rant.

Maybe I should have known better when they didn´t give out more info and material (like actual fullsize screenshots of the videos) at their eshop.

To sum it all, these two "dvd´s" are the worst and rather expensive piece of drivel I have ran into in recent years. Has anyone else had similar experiences with superglam dvd´s? Or is everything just a-ok?
