I'm moving the site to use CloudFlare instead of StackPath for CDN and security services. The transition is in-process at the moment. Some people are already accessing the site through CloudFlare. It might take a day or two for the DNS changes to propagate for everyone to be accessing ADT through CloudFlare.
There's been a LOT of malicious bot activity recently. CloudFlare allegedly does a better job of detecting and mitigating this stuff. I hope so.
That's part of the decision it as well. But the decision to switch now is primarily related to the bot activity and CloudFlare's ability to better handle them.
The public-facing part of the switch to CloudFlare is complete. It went mostly smoothly except for a few hours this morning when some of the static files (CSS, fonts and JS) were not getting served properly.
Interesting. Thanks for the screenshot. CloudFlare is doing something with the page to change/reprocess the icons. It's working fine in desktop mode, but when I use Chrome DevTools to switch to mobile the colored folder icons are missing.
^ Hi Drew, I still notice two "issues" since the switching to CloudFlare:
1. Since March 10 in some posts with images uploaded between late December 2021 and the early February 2022 I see [Image not found], but if I check in my upload folder the images were still there but seemed "unlinked" to the posts with the 30 days automatic deletion alert below. On March 10 morning (UTC+1) I noticed it say [Image was administratively deleted] in practically all post posted before March (I could se all the image in my quick upload folder so they where not deleted), later in the afternoon the alert changed to [Image not found] and images reappeared in mosts of the posts but not in the ones from that period. I noticed this issues both in my posts and in other user posts from that span of time. I checked my quick upload folder few minutes ago and now the images uploaded between 21/12 - 02/22 are missing with the alert (Sorry, there was an error: Sorry, that file was not found in the database. It may have been removed.) because I think they were automatically delated after 30 days to be unlinked (by error) from the related posts.
Are the images deleted automatically deleted this way (by error) lost forever?
2. Sometime the embedded tweets don't load properly in a thread. The previews of all tweet in the thread aren't shown and instead I see a white rectangle. If I click on it I'm not redirected to the actual tweet but to my home twitter feed. However, if I click and the button to edit the post I'am able to see the url of the tweet and open it by manually copy and paste. If I reopen the same thread after a few minutes it works properly.
I think these two issues are related to the switching since I haven't encountered them before March 10.
The missing images are related to the corruption of the full-text index recently. I'll see what I can do to repair that situation. They shouldn't be lost forever. There's a routine that runs in the database to search for images that have been uploaded but are not being used in a forum post or review. The search process uses the full-text index. When the index wasn't working properly the house cleaning routine thought the images were not being used and flagged them for deletion.
Can you do a screenshot of what you see when a Tweet doesn't appear properly in a thread?
Thank you for the dates. I will restore the missing files from backups. I might not have the files backed up for the time between Feb 16th and Feb 22nd.
Ok, I will post here some screenshots when (if) the issue show up again. I'm not able to replicate right now, it's a kind of a random thing. I only noticed it began from March 10, so I tough it was related to the switching.
It twitter issue showed up quickly, some screenshots
If I click on them I'm not redirected to the actual tweets but to https://twitter.com/explore
However if I try to edit the post the working links are still there
Still in the Lilly Bell thread latest page, some tweets loads properly but the following not.
It seems to not be related to the thread, also in Jasmin Jae thread.
If I reload the pages even deleting the cache nothing it doesn't solve the issue, but if I try to open the same threads in 10 minutes the embedded tweets will load properly.
If you or anyone else haven't experienced this issue it could be a problem on my side. I'm usually using Google Chrome 99 with ad blocker disabled on macOS, google DNS. I now tried to open Jasmine Jae & Lilly Bell on Firefox and Safari and the tweets load properly while them still aren't loading on Chrome.
Yes, it's still happening but it's a quite strange issue. Right now on Mia Malkova thread the tweet in my latest post doesn't load properly while the ones in previous posts loads correctly. At the same time for example in Kayden Kross thread all tweets load properly
Are you able to open the Chrome Dev Tools console? (Press F12 and then click the Console tab.) As you browse the site it will display an errors or resources being blocked. You can email a screenshot of the info to me at webmaster@adultdvdtalk.com. If your browser is blocking something or there's an error preventing content from rendering it will be logged in the Dev Tools console. I'm not seeing any errors or blocking of scripts in Chrome on my end.
I'm still working on recovering the missing images. I have them on the hard drive now. Just need to poke them pack into the database from a SQL backup.
I checked some models' threads and my quick upload folder and the images are back and visible
I'm still experiencing that twitter thing from time to time, but I repeat it's not a big issue for me. Anyway, thanks for the time you have spent on it.
