Hello,

I've been thinking of adding taboo 1 & 2 to my film list and as I was doing some comparison shopping, I ended up at the original taboo website. I hope someone here can answer this question because I'm puzzled. I went to the official taboo website at Taboo the original and they say Taboo 3 will be out in Sept. I went to adult dvd empire and they say the film is "on order." If the film hasn't been released yet, how could it say "on order?" It should say "preorder.'

scroll down the pg and there's a drop-down box which lists the other taboo titles in the series such as 1, 5,6...and they also say "on order" when they should say "preorder" for the DVDs???

How can you have Taboo 5,6...if # 3 isn't on DVD yet???

Film by Kirdy Stevens.

Standard Digital, which is owned by Kirdy Stevens if I remember correctly has been releasing the Taboo series under their own label. Taboo 3 was originally released back in 2000 by Metro, which is the title you see "on order". I believe that version is now OOP since Standard Digital is releasing their version. Just like the VCX version of Taboo 1 is OOP now, although it is available still at many stores. Series aren't always released in order and sometimes later entries aren't even owned by the same companies that own the earlier entries. You'll find than many old series have missing volumes. For example, New Wave Hookers is missing some in the middle that haven't been released on disc yet.
I hope this answered your question.

Another good example of this is the "Pick Up Lines" series which was oriignlly an Odyssey franchise but is now produced under Simon Wolf Productions. There are instalments from about 1 to 70 all on VHS, but a large number are not on DVD. I'm still waiting for instalment 32 to come out as it has a Peter North/Jewel De' Nyle coupling and I turned my back on VHS long ago.

In case you are interested, their site now says that they are working on Taboo 4 for DVD as well, no mention of a release date yet though.

They've switched again. Now all Silverstone, the producers of the Pick Up Lines series (Simon Wolf was just the distributor), products are being distributed by Legend.
