However, you never really get to know everything, so I asked JW Ties to extend our conversation, and he very kindly agreed. This time, I wanted to learn more about the behind-the-scenes aspects of some projects and get some insights into the performers Mr. Ties has worked with, so perhaps there’s something here that might interest you about the actresses you already know.

This interview (which was more of a casual conversation) covers various aspects of self-management as a director, connecting with performers, an insight into the filming process, working with fetishes and pregnant actresses, and the challenges faced by content creators. I won’t go on any longer—let’s get right to it:

Let´s talk about the performers:

Daisy Summers

JW: Oh boy you went straight to not only the most memorable but also the most detailed I think.
Daisy was recruited by Bella Roxx, she recruited for AMA at the time, and being a talent herself she wanted Daisys first time to be special. She asked me if I was interested in being her first since she knew I would be gentle and considerate. Most performers would just add a notch to their belt and leave her sobbing in pain. Surprisingly enough I almost turned her down. Back then we only had a few sales venues and our funds came in at the beginning of the month. Bella wanted me to do it so badly she actually fronted me the money to book Daisy. At that point I reached out to Grandpa and set up his house for the shoot. He was a pro/am nude photographer for many many years so I asked him to do stills along with using every video camera we had available. When Bella and Daisy arrived she brought along her friend Shay Summers. Shay ended up a contract girl for one of the big Miami companies so she never appeared in our videos other than a bit of audio. After we went over the concept and layout we got stills of her intact hymen and a few outfits for cover shots. We saved the dialog and build up for after the deflowering to keep things calm. Once we started it was very intense for both of us. That was actually the first time I ever had to perform in front of that many people and cameras at once. I took my time and we took a break right before actual penetration. After it was over we cleared the room so she could chill with her girlfriend.

AF: Wow, the life of an NSFW actor and producer is complicated. But I'm glad you managed to pull it off. I understand that you recorded two versions with Daisy, the actual video and the behind-the-scenes footage of the photo shoot.

JW: We actually had 2 camera ppl and 4 static cameras rolling that day. Cutting and combining the actual scene wasn't too bad but we actually only released 2 cameras BTS as the other 2 got people who were watching not filming.

AF: And since you mentioned that your grandfather was one of the cameramen, has he worked for you on other videos?

JW: Not my actual Grandfather. He was a friend who became the lead in the weekends at Grandpa's series. I used to have models come into town and he would book them for Sybian scenes. One of my regu girls was nervous about working with someone his age and asked me to go with her. He and I hit it off well so we started sharing talent to save travel charges. Next thing you know he's the oldest performer still actively working in porn. Even though weekends at Grandpa's was a great series I think I had more fun with filming The Senators Granddaughter. Had I known then what was coming with legislation and the E files I probably would have done a different theme LOL

AF: Lol, bad timing. Still, quite the GILF, as far as I can see.

Regarding Daisy again. I know you guys recorded other videos, but she didn't become a frequent collaborator like other actresses.

JW: Yeah Grandpa is good ppl. He did well with our viewers too. The first weekend at Grandpa's DVD did almost as much as Deflower Me Daddy

We actually started a collaboration but she was kept so busy we couldn't do enough to make it profitable. That and everyone on the team had different thoughts as to what "should" sell for her. We split up the content and parted ways about 3 months into it.

AF: Oh, I see, scheduling and creative issues with a porn star. And you had a concept planned for the collaboration?

Also, I remember that at the end of Defloration you played with the “oh no, I'm not on birth control” line.

JW: Yeah impregnation fantasy requests were common at the time so I mixed them in as much as possible. Sometimes I look back and think I should have varied it more but my fans seemed to love the thought of someone getting pregnant on set.

Yes I had 1 concept, her agency had a concept and she had a concept. Most of the themes were too porn centered for the markets we made the most money in so it was a hard sell.

AF: Yeah, I won't deny the first thing.

Layla Rayne
JW: Ok that was way back when we were first starting to do hardcore and travel to shoot. I wasn't skilled at shooting xxx in hotels and was still figuring out what xxx roles would do well. Layla was referred to us through another amateur talent or maybe craigslist, I didn't have agency talent budget at that point. She was around 3 or 4 mos pregnant so we thought an impregnation series would be cool. We filmed 2 or 3 scenes and she got back with her baby daddy so she stopped filming.

AF: what was it like filming Pregnant & Pounded with Layla?

JW: If I remember right she was the first or second pregnant sex scene I had done. Certain positions were difficult for her and you could see it in certain camera angles. Now days I know to discuss things like that before we start almost like a first anal. Being small framed also made my size a bit difficult for bjs and deep throat. Also if I remember correctly those were condom scenes since we had no local TTS draw facility back then. I used to have to drive to Miami, get tested, stay over, shoot and drive back every 30 days.

AF: In general, what is it like to have sex/film with pregnant women? You already mentioned the physical difficulties, but what about the psychological aspect?

JW: Honestly there really wasn't much psychologically, at least for me. To me it was more about creating a good scene within the talents limits.

Maria Jade

JW: Maria Jade was a regular "family member" after her debut in backseat blow bangs. She created a chemistry on set that both fans and other talent enjoyed. She was in it as much for the intense roleplay as she was the money. Working with her pregnant was probably one of the easiest series we created from impregnation to anal sex with her pregnant with twins. Maria made everything fun on and off set so I look forward to having her on set as much as possible.

AF: Cool. Wow, twins, that sounds extreme. I bet the children of the actresses who know you will call you Grandpa or Uncle JW, haha.

What is it like to work with an actress on a regular basis? How much does it strengthen the working relationship between the two of you?

JW: Working with models on a regular basis you develop a chemistry and a believable long term storyline as well. Knowing how to make your partner react in the role and in the bedroom makes it a much smoother flow. I hate cutting scenes to fix or amend dialog. So when you find someone who can have a believable stepdad-stepdaughter argument/discussion/encounter you try to keep them around.
Long term models also are more dependable than one and dones. It's a 2 way street though, they also know if they run short on Bill money they can pick up extra gigs.

AF: I understand how you feel about the editing. It would be cool if the videos could be left raw and unedited, but that's just how it is with work.

Sierra Simmons

JW: Sierra came to us at 18 and she was barely showing. Her agent knew I would work with her multiple times for a series so we set up her first shoot. She was very easy to work with, to say the least.

AF: So, how did the idea come about to do this whole saga, from impregnation to nine months? One of your most ambitious projects, in my opinion. Also one in which you played more with the incest taboo

JW: When I first started I was doing mostly niche fetishes. I worked with a few pregnant models when I was doing regular photography and a few of my models requested artistic nudes. My portfolio posts got lots of views so I knew it was a niche that got traffic. Once we started doing hardcore I had lots of clients that enjoyed bareback creampies. I joined a forum (The Impregnation) to advertise and build a fan base. While reading posts and hosting contests with them the series concept hit. Knowing how models come and go we did pregnant and pounded as part of the shoot just in case they only shot once or twice.

AF: Uffff, you have your audience, and they know what they want. And going back to Sierra, I was referring to the process of her video series, considering that you documented different stages of pregnancy. I imagine that finding the time to record them was a challenge (aside the babydaddy).

JW: Actually Sierra came along at the perfect time. We had recently added a series studio and expanded production along with staff. She would stay at our shoot house 2-4 days and film as much as possible.


In Sierras case, surprisingly, her baby daddy was supportive of her career. If I remember right he was even on set a few times when Jack was filming her on the East Coast (after the DR restricted her travel).

AF: Great, I'm glad that almost everything went smoothly. In the end, the result was amazing.
Regarding the sequel (Make Me a Mommy Again?), one detail that I find funny is the lack of presence of the “baby” in postpartum life. I mean, obviously I wouldn't expect to see babies in XXX scenes (and thank goodness for that), but I find it funny how the characters think about having more sex but don't seem to have to worry about crying babies and dirty diapers, lol.
JW: TBH we can't even make references to the offspring on most sites. One of my many pregnant and pounded interviews with Gia had to be edited because she said the baby is due. Sierra left hers with a sitter or dad depending on the trip length.

AF: Oh well, I was talking about the baby in the fictional story, but I understand the limitations that websites impose.
By the way, I didn't know about the interviews. Where can I find them?
And my next question is precisely about the difficulties actresses face once they become mothers. I always assumed they took a temporary (or permanent in some cases) break during that period.
JW: Most of the interviews are either on manyvids or the DVDs. Many of them didn't make the cut after Visa/MasterCard made everyone do everything differently with the same end result.
Many of the pregnant talents do take breaks but some have no choice. If your only revenue is porn you don't get paid if you're not filming.

AF: So, I guess balancing family and career is difficult for some of them.

AF: By the way, I'd also like to take a moment to talk about the other men in action, such as Russell Grand, who also acted with Sierra. What is it like to work with him? How does he get along with the actresses? What anecdotes does he have from the studio?

JW: Russel was a fun guy to work with on set and to hang with at convention.
He was always respectful to the models and did great on set. As to anecdotes, there were lots of different things. My favorites were during his scenes in Taboo Family Vacation. The what to do with Grandpa discussions were completely unscripted!!
AF: Ufff, I like it when things just come naturally or work out the first time. Favorite scene or film with Russel?

JW: I'd have to say a scene we filmed for Hope Harper called Daddy's Monkey Business. Russel was trying to earn my business while Hope kept interrupting and eventually started riding me in the middle of the meeting. Both of us and his partner had a hard time keeping semi straight faces but that's definitely one of the most memorable. Although there were several over the years.


Hope Harper

AF: Cool.
What is it like working with Hope Harper?
How did you meet her?
What are your favorite videos with her?
This time, I couldn't say which is her most memorable work because there's so much to cover.
I know she's also between being an actress and a baby mama.

JW: Hope is a whirlwind trapped in a hurricane on top of a volcano when it comes to her energy levels. She had lots of crazy ideas and concepts over the years to be sure. Conventions like AVN and exxxotica we would go non stop between filming, events plus the booth. Hope traveled with us quite a bit for long runs and we had some very unique side trips. We toured caverns, filmed in a ghost town, skipped rocks on rivers and had some pretty crazy adventures.


We met at Grandpa's I believe. She came down to shoot more than kissing cousins with Bailey Paige, Grandpa and I. We hit it off pretty well and the rest is on the internet LMAO.


Nailing down 1 favorite scene with hope is almost impossible but the moment that stands out the most is also during taboo family vacation. After Kate England unalived gramps with her awesome ass we decided, in the family meeting, to throw him in the van and take him with us. Riding down the road hope was supposed to accidentally stroke his cock, gramps was supposed to groan and we were going to cut tape. She innocently looked at the camera and said "I stroked him back to life". The whole crew lost it


AF: Lol, so you guys share a love for outdoor locations.
Is it challenging when you film outdoors?
JW: Outdoor filming can be a major challenge as in some cases there's a slim chance you might get caught breaking a law. Even scenes in vehicles with extreme tint in the right circumstances can get you in big trouble. Most of our outdoor stuff was done on private property we had permission for. When Alice and I were doing outdoor cam shows moderators would often request proof of location. Lighting was always difficult outdoors too. We did one series that was public hookup based and getting the right intro in believable locations was always a challenge too.

Alice Merchesi and Jack Moore

AF: And since you mention cam shows, what is it like to work in them? I know Alice Merchesi is the specialist.
How different is it to record live?
Was it something you could work on during the pandemic?
How much does it pay?

JW: Cam shows are a whole different ballgame. Some of the actions are specific tips but we ran games that had everything from a blown kiss to 2 min of sex. One of the biggest with me an Alice was edging blowjobs. Fans would tip to keep her blowing in hopes they would get a cumshot for way less tokens. Alice knew just how not to make me pop for as long as 37 minutes but if it was a cumshot she had me in under 6 minutes. The scamdemic was really why we started camming. Alice and I lived close by and had no outside partners at the time. Once TTS got clear guidelines for COVID protocols we brought in other talent. Some shows we made really good money but most were less than the girls would have made shooting. I set a minimum they would take home regardless and many many days I had to hope at least the footage would generate enough to cover the losses. 5 years later I'm still in the hole with Cam shows no pun intended.

AF: In your opinion, do you get along better with Alice in films or cam shows? What is your favorite thing about doing cam?
And let's talk for a moment about another male collaborator, Jack Moore, with whom you and Alice have a lot of synergy.

JW: In my opinion Alice and I get along the same either way lol.
My favorite thing about cams is I have no decisions to make, the audience kind of takes care of that.
Jack is a long story lol. We've done so much together over the years. He is quite a character on and off set.

AF: Cams are the people's democracy, lol.
What kind of character is Jack?
To keep it simple, tell me your favorite project with him.

JW: I can't narrow it down to one project...... He played the joker in Daddy made me a monster, didn't research his character at all ( I literally cast his part that day) and still pulled it off perfectly.
Camming he was always fun and funny. His acting in Suckem Strokem Sexbots series, Santa for hopes christmas movie and so many more brought realism plus comedy to the set.

AF: So, what's it like working with more male talent? Logistically and personally? Are threesomes fun? Have you tried with gangbangs?

JW: The more male talent involved the harder it can get. No pun intended. I've done multiple bbg threesomes with minimal issues unless it was a new guy. With the right female talent it can be a blast. We tried a gangbang and it didn't come out even close to what I expected. One of the guys had never done a dp. He got nervous and things went south.
AF: I understand, and I'm sorry that working with multiple people can be challenging.
But that makes me wonder, do you have any projects you've abandoned?

JW: Multiple women is easy multiple men and anything can throw things off kilt lol.
Several actually. We had a gameshow concept that involved pies and recruiting average guys at porn conventions called it's anybody's mess. I had a few femdom concepts tank and of course plain vanilla sex lol. I've even had a few collaborations hit the cutting room floor prelaunch. Often times we can recycle them in another genre but a few ended up losing money
AF: Aw man, the pie concept sounds interesting. I hope you can recycle it later.

Conclusion:

And wow, that was a long list of questions, and even though there are several projects and actresses, I think I have enough. Let me think for a moment about some closing questions.

W: You never know when it comes to recycling when something might actually be usable. I don't know why, but I have a feeling this is going to end up leading to at least one more interview anyway, so we're probably at a good stopping point LOL

AF: Okay, I think we can wrap this up with these questions:
How do you plan to optimize audience interaction?
What does a good pie feel like to you? (i.e., what do you feel in the moment of the act?)
So, are the rumors of on-camera impregnations just an urban legend? (Or are there actual cases?)
What are some things (ideas and customs) that you haven't done yet that you'd love to do in the future?
Now that you've just turned 55, what do you consider the best thing you've accomplished in your career?

Unfortunately most of the time with creampie scenes I'm more worried about camera angle and penis depth so enough comes out during the close-up. Don't get me wrong there's still the endorphin rush but if I'm holding the camera it's more work than you can imagine trying to get the shot.

I really haven't given new concepts much thought yet. I'm still walking a fine line with the visa mc debacle and I also walk the barely legal fauxcest roles line. Once I get a handle on it I'll probably start some outdoor adventures series or something with banjo music lol.


At 55 I'm gonna have to say my career was my biggest accomplishment. I was dead broke with no employment opportunities in my trade. I knew nobody in this industry and nothing about it. I picked up a camera, got a little crazy and somehow became someone millions of people know.....
