Avoid Hitchhiker #1 at all costs, it boasts awful picture quality, none of the extras listed on the boxcover (let's run through the checklist shall we? Full motion chapter menus? No. Preview trailers of DVD releases? No, but there is a static screen with picture of the boxcovers of three other Future Entertainment titles. DVD ROM compatible? I don't know, haven't tried it. It probably is and, you know, big deal. Digitally remastered? It looks to me like it was transferred from a overworn VHS copy. I'm guessing this is meant as a euphemism for the transfer process from analog to digital that all videos go through. 5.1 Dolby Digital Sound? What are you high? The soundtrack is 2 ch. when one or the other channel isn't dropping out entirely, that is, which happens more than once. Supplemental material? There is none)and an ergonomically screwy scene selection setup (kind of hard to describe, you can't hit all the stops <and it's not like there are very many> using the chapter skip controls from the beginning. That is, you can skip from ch. 1 to ch. 3 before hitting a wall. You can also use the screen selection menu to go to ch. 4 and from there you can only skip back as far as ch. 2. Also, one of the chapter stops has a tendency to freeze up when accessed via the chapter skip controls. It has done this every time, so it's not a one time glitch) ruin what otherwise would have been a mediocre Max release.
