Even more reason for Luke to maintain some credibility. There are many porn fans who look for reasons not to believe negative stories about the industry--because, in part, they believe anything negative is the same as being anti-porn. Not true. There just happens to be some bad people in the porn industry, just like with most industries. The Porn Industry, however, won't fess up to having rotten apples. So, as you point out, Luke has one of the few porn sites that will write about the users and abusers. So if he also has a reputation for printing untrue or exaggerated info, it allows people to say "Oh, I don't believe this story, either." Bottom line: Luke needs to be more responsible (and caring), and not just repeat whatever he reads elsewhere or is told by people seeking attention. Calling people like him, or TMFR, journalists...of any kind, is an insult to that profession. They are more like attention whores. While many studios seem to work on the principal of grinding out as many release titles a month as possible, production values and what the industry can bear be damned, DP (and to a certain extent Evil Angel) operates on a business model more closely aligned with the mainstream/narrative independent industry. While pictures like PIRATES and FASHIONISTAS may be "passion projects" for the principals, they're also well aware that they can't sustain commercial viability by concentrating on the creation of this type of film solely. While DP will always honor their core market of adults seeking hardcore entertainment that leans toward being "couples-friendly", I can assure you that their promotion and distribution of Robby D's HANDHELD PICTURES titles is not a random experiment, but a well-developed calculation designed to capture a bit of the harder "gonzo" driven audience that has thus far proved to be elusive. Rumour has it that they may even be in the market for additional filmmakers to work under contract in providing this sort of non-feature oriented content on a regular basis (convicted felons need not apply!). All this to say, just wait and see, Arin. What DP has to offer over the coming year may well surprise you. Zen

Where else would she make the money she is making?
