I don't think it's a matter of having "balls" so much, but what exactly do you want people to say? I'll go ahead and answer your question. Do I think the way you do? No. If I were tired of watching a girl I'd simply stop watching her movies. As far as retiring, well that's a matter of personal choice. Every performer knows when she's really done and obviously she doesn't share your opinion. I've never seen one of her movies, but starting a transition to continue in the business as a director for her company could be an option wisely considered. Speaking from experience, that transition can take a year or longer.
I'll respond by saying I don't agree with you. I don't watch Tera nearly as much as I did five years ago when she was doing some hot gonzo work but I just recently reviewed her InTERActive dvd and it's very well done and she looks better in it than I've seen her look in some time. Tera's always been a looker but this dvd makes her look postively ravishing for most of the dvd. I have seen a few of her Teravision scenes and well they're fine but not as good as I remember her being in say Nice Rack 4 which is perhaps the best scene I've ever seen her. There are certainly other girls I like watching now more than Tera but I wouldn't have ever considered her to be a boring fuck. I liked it too that she never shyed away from facials even now she can take a good pop to close a scene so I'm fine with Tera Patrick.

Tera was one of the prettier ladies with a dynamite body that did porn but she never seemed like she loved doing it. She took her naturally lovely breasts and visited the butcher shop boobjob barn, a big mistake IMHO. Say what you will, Bob. You saw the OP. Her movies don't move. Her name never comes up any more. She could have surpassed Jenna, and would have made a very good spokesperson for the industry as she was well spoken and bright. But interest in her has dropped off significantly.
Not all the blame lies with marrying Evan. Prior to him she was doing a movie like once every 6 months and wasn't doing the strip club tour circuit like most girls. Even before marrying Evan, I felt she wanted to be a porn star without the porn. She did very few movies but lots of public appearances, and her movies were overwhelmingly vanilla. She was getting by on her beauty, which will only get you so far, quite frankly.
