I don't know if anyone agrees with me or not, but I was watching a news channel and it had Tera Patrick and her husband on the show. They were talking about how Tera doesn't have sex with any other man than her husband on film, yet she will have sex with females.

First off, Tera Patrick has only done very little lesbian scenes. Second of all, Tera's husband is in the band Biohazard and on the tv show Oz. He's not a porn star!

Tera quit pornography after a while, then came back with "Tera, Tera, Tera" but she only has sex with her husband.

Tera Patrick obviously sold out her fans by quitting pornography and only boinking her husband on film. I don't mind this, but Tera is going to force this agreement to producers, directors, actors, and even other actresses that she only has sex with her husband. That's BS.

Sylvia Saint did the same thing by getting married, Janine did the same thing when she dated that Ricky guy from MTV. If these morons didn't realize that this is their wife's job then they shouldn't date her. True that I wouldn't want my wife to fool around with another guy, but if my wife was Tera Patrick, I should accept the fact that she's going to have sex with men, and possibly get creamed all over their face and body.

Why must pornstars sell out? Shame on you Tera, I am happy that you found true love, but if you're going to continue being who you are, and that is a pornstar, then tell Mr. Tattoo to shut up and accept it.

Let's face it, Tera Patrick (or any other pornstar for that matter) has no responsibility to fans to continue fucking male pornstars. It's her life, her body, she can do whatever she wants. If anything, you should be eternally grateful that she even decided to get back in front of the camera.

I understand that Tera doesn't have a responsibility, but I just feel that Tera should stop kidding herself and stop letting "a man" make decisions for her.

How did she sell out? How is she forcing anybody to do anything? Why is any of this obvious.
Why is quitting porn a betrayal of the customer? She does have a life of her own. There is no implicit agreement that she will stay in porn until you are tired of her.
It is their life and a choice they made. To them, it could be their relationship is more important than work. It might occur to you that Tera has a little say in what she does.
If, as a producer, you don't like her terms, don't hire her.
If, as a consumer, you get tired of seeing her with the same man all the time, don't rent/buy product she is in.
If her husband appears with her in porn, he is a porn star.

I'm sorry, this goes on and on. To summarize, even if this is against forum rules, Grow Up! . They are people with their own lives who owe you little, if anything.

In any long-term relationship, there are decisions that you are going to let the other person make, decisions you share, and decisions you make on your own.

Regardless who made the decision for her to stop fucking other guys, you should respect her decision. She's a grownup; she has to handle the consequences of her actions. If she's happy with the decision, well you should be happy that she's happy.

All I'm saying is, I feel that when Tera agreed with her husband to only have sex with him on camera, she's being overtaken and therefore selling out. Tera claims to be independent, she's not. You think this guy would quit playing music if she said so? Hell no. That's all I'm saying. I'm saying she sold out her fans by claiming things that she's not. She claims to love being a porn star, yet she quits? That's like saying you like blondes yet you're dating a brunette.

Tera can fuck, or not fuck, whomever she wants whenever she wants, for whatever reason she wants. She owes you nothing. Why do some guys feel porn girls have to fuck any and every porn star who comes along? God this sounds familiar.

Look, the definition of a pornstar doesn't include any requirements on how many different partners they have to fuck on camera. Heck, she can just fuck girls and still be a pornstar (just like Janine). If she quits having anal sex or starts using condoms, or changes the type of partners, it doesn't mean that she has stopped being a pornstar.

Your concept of a pornstar is very, very narrow.

Let's face it, maybe she has no interest in fucking other guys now that she's married. Maybe that's her decision, not his. After all, if she wanted to continue her porn career, she could have easily told him, "Just hang tight a couple of years, I want to make a few more films."

She was obviously ready for a change, and whether or not it's convenient for you is irrelevant.

I am a huge fan of Tera Patrick, but your comments are wrong, sir.

I am happy for Tera Patrick, and I actually watched the same show you were watching, and you missed what both Tera and Evan said. Tera said they BOTH agreed that she would only have sex with Evan.

I agree that yes usually when a woman gets married that their career in porn is pretty much over; however, you wouldn't want these women to grow old doing porn and being alone for the rest of their life.

Look at Savannah. She was young, stunning, famous, a pornstar, and alone. She dated rock stars that treated her like crap; she had Slash give him a BJ in public, talk about humiliating. Savannah took her life because she was lonely, would you want Tera to be strung up on drugs and thinking about suicide everyday? I wouldn't. Besides, if you're bent out of shape because of Tera Patrick maybe not doing porn anymore, than you have a lot of time on your hands not to mention a life (no offence to hardcore porn fans).

I do understand that Tera isn't going to be as marketable to directors who may want her, but don't want him. However, I'm not a director, and I certantly doubt you're a director; therefore, why give a crap? There's always going to be someone to replace Tera anyway. She sold out? I don't think so.

Do you believe that Evan made the decision that Tera wouldn't have sex with another man because Tera is a woman and therefore incapable of making her own decisions or standing up for herself?
Is Tera not making porn if she is filmed having sex with Evan or a woman? If so, why not?
Does she really have the responsibility to provide porn you want to watch?
If she condemned to a future of only being in porn, or can she change and evolve? Is she allowed to do what she wants and see what the industry accepts?

Tera had sex with her husband in commercially distributed porn. Doesn't that make him a lot more of a porn star than you?

See my previous statement in bold print.

So, having sex with strangers for money is fine, but having sex with your husband is selling out?

Hesh no compute.

Felecia can say the same thing too.

Sell out/not sell out. If you don't like something don't rent or buy it. As sales diminish so will the pornstar

Heck, I don't know if Tera does feature dancing but that pays a *lot* more than the typical porn scene so she really doesn't need dicks poking her pussy to rake in the dough.

If she makes one movie a year with hubby, but her feature dance schedule is booked solid, she'll make a lot more dough that way.

No, I do agree that she can have sex with her husband, but if you keep watching the same guy boinking Tera Patrick, you get sick and tired of it. I also think that Tera Patrick is ruining her career by stating that she is pro-pornography, loves pornography, yet when she got married she no longer wants to do porn, etc.

I'm saying that Tera is a sell out by not being the pornstar that she claims to be. "I love porn" yeah right, the only reason why she was doing porn was because didn't have the intelligence to be anything else. Nuff said, and if she wants to come on here and comment about it, fine. I think schomburg2002 said it best, Tera Patrick is a dime a dozen, she will be replaced and forgotten.

I knew a lot of you guys would defend her, because she's a popular pornstar, but she's nothing but a hypocrite. She's not as strong as she claims to be, because she would make decisions for herself rather than have her husband make them for her.

Tera, you're a pornstar, your job is to have sex with men and women. What is so funny is her husband can get a blow-job from other women, but god forbid if Tera would give another man a blow-job. Give me a break, Tera Patrick is a sell out. I'm not saying a sell out because she got married, she sold out because she is a hypocrite and didn't stick to her beliefs, instead she was just like any other woman who finds "love", she gets controlled, caught up with fear, and has no say-so with her own life.

Well, godhra, it looks like this thread is in its final stage. Your logic is full of holes and you don't understand the simple truth that a female pornstar's career is very, very short.

The average female pornstar's "beliefs" are mostly get in, get fucked, and get out, hopefully with some money left over. The smart ones end up feature dancing, or at least using some of the proceeds to buy real estate, maybe start a business, etc.

I personally have no interest in defending Tera's actions. Unlike you, I'm not one of her fans. She just doesn't do it for me.

There's no hypocrisy here, just a lack of understanding on your part.

Unless you learn something here, you will probably become enamored with another pornstar at some point, and get massively disappointed when she retires as well. To put it very crassly, it's your problem, not ours.

I wish you the best of luck; you will need it.

I agree with what cv said, but I must admit, I think godhra does have a point on something, just because Tera says that both she and Evan mad ethe decision, we don't really know. However, like godhra I am a fan of Tera, but lately she's not doing it for me like cv.

The fact of the matter is, cv is right, a female porn star's career is very short. They go in around 18 and leave around 28, maybe even shorter. It's usually the men that have the long careers; Peter North, Randy West, and T.T. Boy have been around for a long time and still are, because it's rare to find a good man in porn that can keep an erection for a couple of hours and shoot a load when asked to.

I don't your argument is quite clear, godhra, you tend to flip from one side to the other; however, from what I have gotten I can see your point on who "wears the pants" in that particular family. However, if you're concern with a woman's decision, or her man's decision for that matter, on what to do in porn, then you have a lot of time on your hands.

A lot of people were upset when Jenna Jameson left porn, or Jill Kelly, or Sylvia Saint, but look at it this way, if you seen them have sex once you've seen it a million times. Watching Tera Patrick have sex with Peter North is like watching her have sex with Evan.

1.) I'm not a fan, I just think you are wrong.
2.) You don't know if she made the decision or not. You are a fan, you don't like the decision, so you blame the husband without proof.
3.) Her job is not to have sex with men and women. Her job is to fulfill the terms of her contract. Period. Now if other people decide that a movie won't sell because of her restrictions, nobody will offer her a contract. Simple enough. This stems from you wanting to see her in certain types of porn. She doesn't need to conform to be a porn star.
Your arguement is similar to saying that a MLB player needs to appear in your beer league.
4.) Boring or not, some people will buy it. Further, it is still porn.

Sales and responsibility are two different things. Neither do you know if the husband will give up the band if they both decide it is better. Her career and personal decisions don't need to please her fans, but herself.

It's already hard to have a relationship anyway when you are a pornstar. Especially when someone is not in the buisness. And if you love your partner you make a compromise together whats good for he two of you.
So if 2 people Happy in their choice leave them and wish them all the luck. Its doesnt mean that you dont love Pornography if you dont work with other guys anymore of wont work with other guys at all then your own husband.
Its sometimes not worth it to upset eachother in a relationship I think. So thats why alot people make this desicions.
I think If my man would have a problem with it that Im working with other guys.. I would also consider to work only with him or only working with girls.
But thats my opnion. Because I think you need to respect eachother. And my private life is then more important in certain points. Ofcourse he can also respect me and my work. But still its more emotional then you think. And not everyone sees the difference.
And then I think its not really nice to Judge Tera about this. I think its rude and if you are a fan you should support her with her choice~...

Hope you understand my point.

going female-only has not hurt several other careers.

And I don't believe Janine's female-only decision had anything to do with Ricky Rachman (spelling?)...she was doing so before dating him and she actually gave perhaps the most well-thought out and cohesive reasoning for doing so in an interview with Esquire magazine.

Hmmm, someone is spending too much time fantasizing about Tera Patrick.

Right now, her only professional responsibility is to fulfill the terms of her contract with Vivid.

I'm pro-pornography. I "love" pornography. I've never been in one though. Does that make me a Hypocrite?

ok..

I'm pro-hockey. I "love" hockey. I don't play hockey anymore. Does that make me a Hyprocrite?

Bitter much? If she's such a dime-a-dozen disposable, why do you give a two shits about her or who she fucks?
I'm glad you know the inner workings of her relationships.

As it happens, I'm pretty much indifferent to Tera these days, I liked her stills on suze.net 4-6 years ago but now I just don't care much. I'm not especially fond of what I know about Even Seinfeld either. But it's their lives, so why do you care what they do?

I'm sorry, but I just can't see how you can say she sold out when she's still doing porn. Doesn't make sense to me.

I gurantee if Ms. Patrick was here and read this she would give you one hell of a tongue lashing, and I don't mean fellatio either.

godhra, I assume you were a big fan of tera patrick before she disappeared and came back with a new hubbie. I personally would rather see her work in Nice Rack 4 (anabolic,) than in Island Fever #Whatever. I just get the feeling that you don't like Tera Patricks' husband...hmmm?

Real simply, the concept of selling out means that you compromise who you originally are to make more money. What did Tera Patrick do to sell out? Seems like she is staying more TRUE to who she is by being with someone she likes and compromises what YOU want for her, rather than what she wants for herself. So, you want her to sell out for you. We (porn fan) don't own porn stars, plain and simple. If you don't like her new work, don't buy it. I don't like 95% of her work; it kinda creeps me out when I hear 'porn fan' talk about 'porn star' like they own them. Makes me hesitant to post about porn when I see how self-involved people get in the personal lives of those that are in the industry. Watch the films you like, buy the titles of the girls you enjoy, but for christs sake, get a life when it comes to opinions' on how porn people live there own.

I believe she has a degree in nursing. What have you achieved? Try not to make something up when you answer. The quality of your writing already limits the answer.
Janine started out exclusively girl/girl. Any man she had sex with in professional porn (not home made stuff) would be the exception.
Felicia was exclusively girl/girl and had a long career. She did blow Ed Powers once, but I try not to think of that.
Misty Rain only had sex with her husband for the longest time.
Maybe, just maybe she has the right to define herself with no input from you. That definitioin may include things more important to her than your definition of a porn star.

Other people do not exist to meet your needs until you tire of them. This falls on deaf ears, but it is a lesson you need to learn.

Have much experience with real life women? Would I be more accurate to ask if there is any ?
Can you give any evidence of all these things you have said about Tera? All this stuff that she has no real input into her life decisions?

Aren't you expressing a wish to control Tera's life? Why does this make you better, or at least different? A freaky controlling fan is better than a man who has an actual personal relationship with Tera?

If a person read your words, would they believe your statement that you wish the best for Tera?

We had a thread a while ago on the levels of education of porn stars. Quite a few seem to have a degree.

Your concept of why people go into porn seems misplaced. Your understanding of relationships and sexuality needs expansion.

I lost interest in Tera when she went the contract route. But that was a smart move for her. She had some good scenes in gonzo, but I never really sensed that her heart was in it. I still prefer her early scenes with Joey Silvera and Randy West and in "Nice Rack." She's definitely the glossy fantasy-type girl built for a run at the pseudo-mainstream. I don't care what she does. It is of absolutely no importance to me. But also I don't think fans should expect any girl to go burning at both ends for very long in the adult biz. Especially in gonzo. Six months, a year, maybe two -- it's not humanly sane or possible (unless you are Brigitte Kerkove) to keep grinding at it for longer than that. I think Belladonna and Aurora Snow may have three years of active service, but even they have eased off, having babies, directing movies, doing more girl-girl stuff. I think Tera passed her expiration date quite a long time ago. But she seemed like such a fake, stereotypical "porn star" so early on that I just tuned her out.
