You're probably right about about the newer starlets being nastier. But I think porn in general is becoming nastier as the years pass and the newer women almost need to be nastier in order to make any sort of name for themselves and be marketable in the current day. For me, nastier does not necessarily make a better scene and for this reason, nastiness didn't weigh as heavily in my choice. As far as the newer women being more beautiful, that's very subjective and very much up to individual taste. All the women listed so far are certainly beautiful. Personally, I find it very difficult to say one woman is more beautiful than the next when discussing women of such a high caliber. It's just such a fine line. If the discussion comes down to specific aspects of these women, I could probably make a choice of one over the other, but I can't do that for something that can be so broadly defined as beauty. So I guess I ended up looking at overall careers and accomplishments. Asia Carrera had a fairly long career and made a great number of quality films. While I don't think this is purely a numbers thing, I think it's something interesting to look at. Here are some numbers I found on Internet Adult Film Database - take them for what they're worth... Asia Carrera: 349 films in approximately 11 years for comparisons sake... I only point this out because, much of the time, it seems that once a young starlet starts to make a name for herself, she moves on and you never hear from her again. Asia has been one of the few women (nevermind asian women) who has been fairly highly regarded over a significant period of time. For all the time I've been watching porn, many asian starlets that I've considered among my favorites have come and gone, but Asia has always (at least until recently) been around. While I consider women like Jayna and Avena among my current favorites, I think it's yet to be seen if they will be around in the long run. Who knows, maybe ten years from now I'll be saying the same thing about one of these other women. Maybe this is all just a bit of nostalgia clouding my brain, but (like I said before) I've gotta go with Asia Carrera. (Sorry for rambling...I just thought it was something worth discussing.)
