For those of you that do enjoy it of course. If you're a hater, then I don't see why even clicked on this topic. It's hard to imagine, this genre has been around for almost 20 years now, and I've been watching it for the majority. The way I see it, it can be divided up into four distinct "waves" over time.... 1st wave is the OG. The original stuff that people ranted and raved about - Max Hardcore, Gag Factor, Slap Happy, Throat Gaggers, etc. 2nd wave was the face fucking boom. Everyone wanted a piece of the pie and new ones were popping up like crazy - Throated, GagOnMyCock, Gagging Whores, Facial Abuse, Young Throats, Face Fucking Inc, etc. 3rd wave the BDSM era. After BDSM has went mainstream there was an inevitable marriage between bondage and face fucking - Hogtied, PornStarPunishment, Public Disgrace, Sexually Broken, etc. 4th wave the age of the amateur throat fuckers. With the advent of tube sites that cam sites paying amateurs to perform, there has been a lot of home-made face fucking porn circulating in recent years a some picking up a bit of a following - PornHub, Clipsforsale, MyDirtyHobby, etc. For me it's tough call between 2 and 4. There was a lot of classic stuff to come out of the 2nd wave, but I am very much enjoying the current trend of seeing so many amateur females taking it like the pros. I like the use of a fixed camera more, where they just set it and go. No frills, no cuts, no editing, just straight face fucking. Some of it is right up there with some of the roughest I've seen, with a real uninhibited "no fucks given" attitude, with several channels seeking to one up the others for "most brutal" video. Eras of facefucking don't exist. It's always been apart of the porn/bdsm community. The only reason why you've started to see it more from amateurs is because of the accessibility of the internet and handheld cameras.
I would have to say eras of any type of porn do exist, but it's just a subjective thing as to how one might categorize them. I separate them here in a manner of certain years and what content was fresh and relevant in those time frames. In recent years, porn studious for the most part have quit producing anything catering entirely to this fetish, like they used to. Most new content is amateur, and yes of course the change in tech has brought that about.
Nah. If anything, the trend is bigger now than it ever was. Facialabuse.com, Throated.com & Deepthroatsirens.com have all been around for a long time with continued updates even to this day. Some new studios like Hookuphotshot & Swallowed also release some of the most brutal content; and they are relatively new. I don't think you are that big of a facefucking fanatic as you sound. I agree with echoplex's OP, even roughly down to the time period categorizations. I'll need some recos on current material though, as I presently find most of the content sparse and/or not my cup of tea (HH and swallowed do next to nothing for me, and beyond not being a fan of the scene structures I find it a stretch to include them in this category as the full-scenes have a bunch of other stuff going on). Of your time periods mentioned, 1 and 2 for me, hands down. More prominent studios were doing them with more prominent actresses, and the scenes were straight up about the face fucking. Not "go model for 30 minutes", "let me put my head in your ass for another 10 minutes", "now lick my ass for 10 minutes cuz ppl wanna see my hairy asshole", "gag yourself with this dildo in the middle of the scene" and whatever other ridiculous crap that gets in the way of the meat and potatoes of the scene all the time these days. Adriana Chechik recently had a fan blowbang scene come out that was extremely well done, almost all face fucking. No distractions or other circus acts (the irony of describing interruptions that way when it's a face fucking scene isn't lost on me) to get in the way.
I think you're getting me wrong. Of course, a few of them are still long-running I know. But, most of them I mentioned died out after a while. Throated feels a bit stale by this point and Facial Abuse are still doing their thing, but I've never been a big fan of their content - after a while they become tiresome to listen to, and seeing their same couch for 10 years and the same exact routines with less than attractive women. Neither bring a fresh feel to the face fucking genre. Other than amateur content, I guess I should mention Assylum - they've been doing some interesting face fucking scenes over the past few years. There's another series out now called Slave Mouth, it's angle seems to be making the girls dress up in odd costumes and putting them on strange looking sets. Overall, the content count is very low as far as what's focused largely on just face fucking. Low compared to the 2000s, that is. Unless you count amateur content, then there is a pretty good amount. The trend itself may be bigger, but the specific porn is not. In the mid-2000s there was a new face fucking website every few months, I could name three times as many from the "boom" era than what I did - Horny Throats, Whore Gaggers (not to be confused with Gagging Whores), WillSheGag, Fuck My Skull, Brutal Blowjobs, Drilled Mouths, Gag The Bitch, Gags Girls, Throat Bangers, Throat Yogurt, In Your Face, Throat Fuck Next Door, Gagging.dk, Deepthroat Frenzy, etc. I doubt we'll ever see that kind of saturation again from any major porn studios. A major reason for the "best era" in my estimation is the continual improvement in filming; lighting; and consistency between "episodes" in the series.
The studio develops the "recipe" for hotness (makeup; performance techniques; angles; etc) and then keeps it consistent and very high quality.
hookuphotshots and swallowed.com are great examples of this.
You can have the best performers in the world but if the camerawork and lighting suck it's not going to be good.
