John Holmes

If you don't mind compilations, check out Exhausted. It's a documentary about Holmes (released in 1981) and inculdes a number of his best scenes including some of the hard to find Johhny Wadd stuff shot by Bob Chinn for Arrow. As of right now, I'd say Exhausted offers the best John Holmes material on DVD. It also has plenty of hilarious self serving interviews...this is the movie that inspired Boogie Nights .

I-Candy is supposed to be releasing The Jade Pussycat sometime in the near future. He has a good scene with Linda Wong in that one.

-A Tribute To The King #1 - available on dvd. Most of this John Holmes compilation is shot in the 80's but it has a few really good scenes. One with Amber Lynn and especially Holmes with Ginger Lynn, she totally devours his huge cock like no other woman I have ever seen, she is not intimdated by his dick at all, she attacks it. Plus, it's a pretty decent transfer considering it's a VCX title.

I have also seen the first 6 dvds from the caballero comp releases. What I didn't like about them was that 5 of the 6 discs had only music but no sounds of the people fucking, and most of it was older loop material where there was no sound except for the music. I think that only one of the discs had actual sounds of the people having sex, the other 5 discs only had just music which I think sucks.
Do discs 5 through 10 have actual sound or just the dumb music.
Please post answer if possible.

In the late '70s, I first watched Holmes in a scene with Seka with an assist from a silent 8mm projector so I tend to have a soft spot for his scenes with her.

All these years later, the fine folks at Vinegar Syndrome have restored some of these Holmes movies and he hooks up again with Seka in Prisoner of Paradise.

Holmes made a bunch of those Johnny Wadd flicks and the Vinegar Syndrome restoration of Tapestry of Passion is really terrific and worth a watch.

He also made the wacky Taxi Girls, which is due out soon in a Vinegar Syndrome restoration.

His scene with Nancy Suiter should look and sound top-notch.
