My father doesn't talk about it, but he tries his best to show subtle support and to let me know he loves me. My mother thinks what I do is best thing in the world. She sees it as a feminist move and a confident move. The only question that plagued my mother was, "Will you be doing gang bangs and interracial?" My mother and I do not share the same faults. However.. I knew these were two things that she didn't want me to do. She is aware that I have never done these things off cam. We are an open family and the women have to live vicariously through my youth. I assured her that they were options that had not been considered. My family is against IR for the most part.(they would love me no matter what.. it is just something they don't encourage). Things may have been different around here when they were growing up.. but it's not little house on the prairie anymore. I went to a public school were race was 50/50 and everyone got along just fine. I had many black friends. I had a lot of black girl friends.. and we all went to the same sleep overs. I think the older generation is more aware of what color their skin is. Just the other day I went to a beauty store because I wanted to get hair extensions. The only shops that do extensions in my semi small town are all ran by black women. Which was fine with me.. I went in and sat my little ass down and waited my turn.. but you know what the lady said to me? "We don't do white girls in here." She didn't even ask me what I needed.. never mind the fact that I had a nice amount of cash in my pocket. Never mind the fact that I had an appointment to be there.. there were no signs that said no white people allowed.. but I was still turned away.. and I walked out laughing.. take me and my monies else where.. punk ass people. So, as far as I am concerned.. there are punk ass people everywhere. I don't find Ir a big deal. BUT I HATE when black people put this label on themselves. It's like some sort of cry for attention.. So stop being in that statistic. Black people tend to blame all their failures on white people. "This happened because I am black." No.. shit just happens.. to everyone. Skin color is not a label or an excuse. You said it yourself, it's 2008. So please stop labeling others and using YOUR skin color as an excuse. Look at things objectively. No one should be forced to do something against their will, but I don't see anything wrong with exposing and critiquing the flawed logic and insulting excuses that certain porn stars have put forward over the years to justify their prejudices.
