I was having so much of a good time, that I only took about a dozen pictures. But if any of them do come out OK, I'll be sure to send them to Steph to link into this thread. My evening started out on a bad note, as I couldn't fit into the outfit I wanted to wear, then I decided to wear a black catsuit, and when I went to put on the shoes (when I got to the Universal Hilton after the hour drive there), a strap broke and I had to attach it with a safety pin. I stopped in at David Forest's pre-awards party in a beautiful suite at the Universal Hilton (next to Universal City's Universal Studios). The rooms were packed with people, mostly guys, drinking champagne and taking pictures of the various gorgeous stars in attendance. From there, we made our way down to the awards in a spacious, elegant ballroom, where there was fun music and some appetizers waiting on the tables. David Forest told me that several of his "boys" hadn't shown up yet, so I could sit at his tables in the 2nd row. Very cool. But at the last minute, Billy Brandt, Billy Herrington and Rocky all showed up, so I was relegated back to my assigned seat about 10 rows back. When I got there, I found Ron Jeremy - snacking on the appetizers of course! I also stopped off to see Tina Tyler, who was very nervous, but still gorgeous. Tayler Negron was excellent throughout the night. Very casual, and adlibbing when he would lose his place in the notes, and he's so natural a comedic talent, that it may have been part of the act. Trophy boys for the night were DC Chandler and Matt Summers. As expected, the big winners of the night were Sea Men: Fallen Angel 4 from Titan Media and Seven Deadly Sins: Gluttony from All Worlds Video.

When I came back inside, Blake Harper was standing right in front of me. My jaw dropped, as he is unbelievably more gorgeous in person than in any of his pictures or videos. He was very gracious, too. I asked if I could take his picture, and he happily obliged, then asked me if I wanted to pose for a picture with him. Duh! I handed my camera to the nearest person and started drooling. OK - I need to see every video this man has ever been in! After meeting some more of the stars - Andel, Colton Ford, Matt Summers, Billy Herrington, Lance Gear, Matthew Rush, it was time to move on. Someone asked me if I wanted to join him to Chi Chi's party, but as I had heard someone mention that she wanted to keep her party small and intimate this year, I decided not to go. I also talked to one of my favorite people, Jason Sechrest. I believe his website address is jasoncurious.com. Jason is one of the sweetest people I have ever met, and also one of those people that you can just tell that it would be a pleasure to fuck because he would really know how to make love to you. Well, being as how I'm monogamous with John, I limited myself to admiring his very full bottom lip and running my finger along his mouth. Jason is not drop-dead gorgeous in the way that say, Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt are. But he's VERY attractive, and has always set my heart pounding. I had fun hanging out with all the guys that were in my first directing video - Jeremy Tucker, Jake Hart, Andy Hunter, Dane Brando, and Rocky. I believe that I met the next person that I want to hire, but I don't want to jinx it, so I'll hold off on saying who. Actually, neither Andy nor Dane recognized me at first because on the days of their shoots, I was wearing sweats and glasses and a ponytail. They couldn't get over how different I looked, although both of them are completely gay, they mentioned several times how good they though I looked. Always good for my ego! I would have stayed longer, but I had to go home for the nanny. I'm looking forward to next year. All of the people I saw that have also gone to the straight awards agreed that the GayVN awards were MUCH better. My only regrets of the night were:  [Link] |
