Excused, PowerfromHell.

I think another related trend is the industry becoming more PC in content over the years.

There was more of an anything-goes vibe about 10-20 years ago.

^I don't know that I agree with you. To me the only major difference between now and the early 2000 is in the number of active studios. There were significantly more and that meant more variety but in return physical media still ruled so studios didn't release as much content.

I still collect physical media from those days, and some probably think that is a waste of money.

But I would much rather spend it on that, than on this much more "socially acceptable" nonsense:
(email ad recently sent to me from bank)

No. I was thinking of adding that $5 DVD with a fresh Sunny Lane to my old collection. My eggs cook fine.

Sunny Lane and her perfect pixie face, with Tiana Lynn. DVD Man's Best Friend - Scene 2 - Elegant Angel (2005)

[mod edit: sorry no images of squirting since it's indistinguishable from peeing and images of peeing are not allowed]
[OP edit: Apologies: Original image contained unacceptable content from this scene.]

^Sorry but I'm not going down that rabbit hole of tin foil conspiracies. The reality is that companies that process money like Credit Card Companies and Banks only care about one thing and in case it's not obvious then that thing is...Money. Therefore the actions of any enterprise that threatens their bottom line is going to be targeted. PH business practices was such that it was next to impossible for them to properly investigate all of the possible illegal content they had on their platform and they were named in some high profile articles.

While people might think that OF was the next one targeted by CC companies but in fact it was C4S but in their case their business practices are such that all they had to do was make sure that the wording describing the action removes any mention of subjects like incest. It also requires that any future content avoid pseudo-incest content so now all pseudo-incest content must use terms like "step" something as opposed to actual blood relations.

Of course we all know that OF was the next one targeted and I still think they are in deep trouble because I haven't heard any changes to how they do business.

Not conspiracy of anything , it's a very clear strategy , and yes the CC companies want profit , so why would the cut off some very profitable sector on their own?
They're forced that much is obvious

Funny how even though the "incest" is usually not between a real mother and her daughter, it is still OK to use a credit card to buy DVDs and Blu-Rays showing all sorts of simulated Murder and Mayhem.

It's more than that I think there some kind of short circuit with people around porn , everybody knows that movies are fake nothing is real , you don't ask a producer to confirm that not a real rape nor a real murder actually occurred in Law and Order SVU less of all you have to state that despite the many incestuous rapes Benson has to deal with , none of the involved were actually related.
It is implied it's all a set up , a story designed to give reason and logic to the scenes depicted.

But for porn for some reason people assume it's real unless stated differently on the contrary there are actual sisters , or even mother and sister that actually worked together in the same movie or even in the same scene but , sinche they didn't interact sexually with each other no statement was necessary

Good points in your post. I think it is the old argument about why Violence is OK on TV but Sex isn't.

Regarding the Porn Purge, in the Brazzers video "The Slutmother" with Kelly Divine, they removed huge sections of the scene. They removed much of the rougher sex but kept the part where two guys are shot to death at the card table.

I think one thing I should have taken into account regarding censorship is that although the video overall is a simulation, the rough sex itself is real, whereas everyone knows that the murders are not.

The violence vs sex comparison is a strong one and the disregard for violence in media is super interesting considering people hate seeing sex. I can kinda-sorta understand where people are trying to see a difference between the two hot topics though because I think porn may be more influential in a greater number of people.

For me, I do think people are more directly influenced by porn. Virtually, everyone wants to fuck and even though we don't talk about it, sex is a normal, expected part of life. So, when people see porn, they can intentionally take inspiration from that, nevermind subtle influences. What people see in porn they think is real. They think it is real and they expect it. People look to fuck every day, all day, but it really is only a select percentage of the population that takes violence to heart.

Also, I think some people, and this is where I stand, simply don't want to promote some of the stuff porn likes to promote; such as 40 year-olds having sex with high school kids or parents having sex with their own kids. That's not everyday, innocuous sex and there is negative intent behind that kind of stuff. I think people see that kind of stuff as an appeal to bad actors. So when we go, "porn should be part of life, leave OF etc alone", the anti-porn crowd goes "Oh sure, porn is fine but look at this stuff". It's tricky.

Porn does like to promote some kind of power imbalance or inequity in a lot of the content. That doesn't absolve all the violent media thats out there, but it still is what it is.

Yes, an interesting topic.

But porn as sex is real in that you cannot really fake an erection but you can definitely fake a murder.

There is a religious element to the promotion or demotion of one over the other, but it could be out of necessity.

Countries like US and China largely disregards - and even promotes - violence in the media because it preps the population for war. Might go back even further for the US because early settling was harsh.

Europe meanwhile is very liberal about sex, even in "conservative" countries like Spain. Europe went through 2 devastating world wars. The last thing they want is to promote more violence, and they would want to promote more sex in order to rebuild the population.

I'm surprised Visa/mc hasn't pulled out already. Bad actors keep pushing the limits. Amex wants no part of adult. Some content creators refuse to follow the rules, they want to post what they want whenever they want, when they don't get their way they throw a fit.

^Visa and MC don't give a rats ass about the bulk of the porn made on the planet. Porn is very very profitable to them and money is what they care about so as long as they can make money from porn then Visa and MC will keep allowing people to buy it on credit. The reason why PH, Xvideos and OF were targeted has nothing to do with porn and everything to do with them allowing individuals to upload content that can't be verified and may (likely) contained child pornography and child pornography is definitely illegal.

P.S: Amex has a tiny amount of customer in the world that they would never be a relevant player in the porn industry even if they allowed their users to buy porn.

Hi pat362,

For Xvideos do you maybe mean Xhamster?
Xvideos has close to 10 million videos and they are downloadable.
Xhamster discontinued regular downloads maybe a year ago.
Thanks.

Did you notice tubes changed their url to accept credit cards? there was no way visa/mc/discover would do business with *tubesite*.com but *tubesitepremium*.com was okay. This pretty much exposed them as running illegal sites. Did you notice xhamster ditched their premium domain and redirects to faphouse? this was due to mastercard's new rules announced in april or may. Check the way back machine, no activity was on FH until 2021.
https://gfy.com/22886592-post7.html

It's because they're running. And the owners just got exposed by German journos. Legit porners don't hide through multiple shell companies. All tube sites are scum, there is no purge going on. The platforms are running around like headless chickens and most content creators were never 2257 compliant since the platforms never enforced it. The chickens have now come home to roost, if you want to sell porn you must be compliant.

I don't want to debate he reality of sex in porn , I meant the reality of the script , even though they play a daughter/father or Setmother/Stepson they aren't actually related and it's not a real incest , in Porn for some reason they have to state that it's in fact faked

It's the PC crowd for you! Plus, if you produced content, I'd imagine its easier to issue the disclaimers as they're doing it, than deal with the aggravation later. But what do I know? I mean, if a super dark black guy didn't issue the disclaimer that he's a step dad to the skinny little pale white girl with red hair calling him Daddy while blowing him, I'd think they're related.

It's probably a good idea to at least put on the face that the company is not trying to promote ACTUAL incest. Same thing with the "I'm a high-schooler but I am an adult high-schooler ;)" bullshit. We know what people are actually trying to get at, but they can at least pretend not be appealing to what they are trying to appeal to.
The "everyone is 18", "step-incest" etc disclaimer scripts make sense.

There is a certain probability of producers inducing/encouraging/promoting/coercing/enticing/etc young women to do stuff with someone they are related to if they feel like they can get away with it. Hell, there's a dude out there getting women to fuck his dog. The pornhub people are paying off some chicks right now because of some underage BS.

People really mess it up for those of us who just want to see people having a good time fucking and recording it with no creeper agenda.

payment processor writes about cancel culture
https://segpay.com/how-to-thrive-in-the-age-of-cancel-culture/

cancel culture lead a payment processor dropping a client due to pressure from social media
card brands dropped PH after working with them for years
cancel culture is real, it will come after you and your loved ones, it doesn't care if you're wrong or right. When it comes for you, your service providers and business associates will abandon you. It will eventually cannibalize itself once it's eaten everyone.

From what I've heard in interviews about the adult industry, the payment processors are the usual culprits acting as the Internet's Standards & Practices. Edicts, or notes, are handed to adult entertainment or else they lose payment processing. For example, specifically red wax cannot be used.

It's not unusual payment processers act this way. They have threatened non-adult sites with shut downs if they don't purge content creators and have removed content creators (and political figures) using their services over political differences.

It won't get better with bad faith actors making these arbitrary decisions become embolden to go after the general public when they face no consequences be it government intervention or loss of revenue to viable competitors.

Web sites with paid content should seriously consider accepting cryptocurrency as an option.

I agree with bridge6296, that article was bullshit, and the examples used had no application to cancel culture. Pornhub was not in compliance. They needed to perform USC2258, which they did not and there was content that they did not take down despite repeated requests. Cancel culture is when you are targeted for minor grips. Child porn is serious.

The payment processors don't dictate. In the end, everything comes down to the banks and the shareholders and board. Most of the time they are quite liberal, but sometimes you get someone like JP Morgan telling you to take the shit down because a shareholder is pissed.

Porn as an industry is a speck of dust economically, but culturally huge.

Cancel Culture is a complete different problem , this is the usual good-doers crusade against sex and I stress crusade it's pushed with money of churches , no political movement controls enough money to force a payment company to give up millions of dollars on principle , churches do , though they know that people won't accept them to tell anybody what to do and force them to do exactly that hence they use other structure such us a branch of feminism , those who think they know better about what a woman must do (same as Churches BTW) and porn isn't any of those things , then "willing philantropists" finance them into anti-porn crusades but no longer motivated by reliogious zealots , this time is feminism and most people is much more keen to pay attention to them than a priest

Of course the zealots and fanatics are always there but the strongest movement are feminists who also don't want womemn sexualized , don't want to show women who aren't "normal" as in anything but excepionally beautiful and fit actresses very much clothed

You find this very close to the view the churches have? exactly!

cancel culture has nothing to do with porn besides it serves a purpose that's the exact opposite than what it appears

Most legitimate estimates peg the porn industry at between $2-$4 billion in annual revenue. If you assume Mindgeek has 2 million members paying an average of $30/month, that's $720 million annually (just a guess, could be much less). Add cams, smaller brands, and onlyfans, that's a realistic number. DVD and broadcast are dead.

By comparison, that's how much spanish people in spain, spend on prostitutes every year.

The reason the purge happened is not due to "trafficking" as the first issue. That was just an excuse. Yes that shit does need to be cracked down on hard as fuck, and needs to be purged, but the article that sparked it, the writer and the organization behind them are deeply Christian, and have tried to get rid of porn before. They tried in past a handful of years ago, and failed. This time they used the "save the kids" angle

I don't even care about the purge, what really gets at me is the random one-off, user uploaded content, like with a cellphone, or shitty cam work is no longer readily available. It is all fake, sterile, overproduced content. Even the so called verified armatures are the same as the big companies pretty much.

Sure those videos that were one-offs were shittily made and had generic titles such as "I fucked my friend's wife", or "picked up my college professor after class" They could have very well been BS titles, and they most likely were. Probably some dude and his gf/wife. But the fact that they were shot at one angle with phone or quick cam, added to the imagination that it COULD be real. That small hope made the videos that much hotter.

Now if I see shit like "banged my boss in the work bathroom", etc... or any of the above, I know 100% its fake.

ManyVids : Cut they take: 10% of subscription fees, and 40% of video clips you sell

That is straight up robbery.

I won't pay someone half my money for doing nothing but hosting files on their servers. My money goes to studios.

Anytime there is percentage cut, even the 20% of OnlyFans, it is straight up making money because they can. It doesn't cost that much to host files. And it is not about security - because we are talking about most reliable content creators paying for the least reliable actors.

^They do a lot more than hosting. The biggest cost is credit card fees and chargebacks. The first are high because porn is deemed high risk and that is because of all the asshole customers who do chargebacks. Usually when the wife discovers the transactions: "No honey. I didn't buy porn, must be a hacker, I'll do a chargeback immediately"
Those jerks ruin it for the rest and the credit card companies always side with the customer and never the merchant.

It's becoming ever more depressing in the UK with a campaign across the media to persuade people of the necessity for massive curbs on internet porn as part of the Government's 'Online Harms' legislation, which aims to give the UK the 'safest' i.e. most censored internet viewing anywhere. In theory this would mean a site such as this would have to be taken down by UK service providers unless it could be demonstrated no-one under the age of 18 could see it. and this despite the age of consent being 16. Porn stars on Twitter etc are another concern. The supposedly liberal BBC has been part of the campaign as much as right-wing rags like the Daily Mail.

Porn is held responsible for creating a culture of sexism and abuse of women and of having a brutalising effect on teenage boys. Mary Whitehouse a 1960's puritan and filth fighter who even wanted to ban Penthouse is being rehabilitated in some circles. Opinion formers can't be shifted from the notion that Porn is a service provided by women purely from financial necessity, to men, no matter how false and narrow and absurd it is. Hardly anyone goes to Church in England, but evangelical Christians know that their propaganda will receive uncritical support in the media and that radical feminists now have a similar agenda to themselves. Some on the right oppose the bill on free-speech grounds, concerned that the likes of journalists taking the piss out of some minority group, might also fall foul of it, but they are just as hostile to porn.

Quite a few women have spoken out over the years but anti-porn campaigners aren't interested in anyone who doesn't serve their agenda. Radical feminists patronise them as poor confused things who don't really know their own mind. In the UK porn has been conflated with the Me Too agenda by the media and a sort of conservative feminism abounds. Of course puritans suggest that if women enjoy watching or making porn, that is just another symptom of its corrupting influence.
