Hi All!

Was wondering if any of you knew of any documentaries that showed a specific porn film being made start to finish?

I don't mean behind the scenes with snippets or documentaries on the porn industry itself (seen a couple of those) but a documentary that showed one specific porn shoot or film from start to finish. So the girl/s, guy/s arriving, them getting prepared for their scene/s, showing how they're filmed, how many times they have to stop and stuff, etc etc. Everything that goes on to shoot a porn film. Genuinely interested to how it's all put together and how long it takes.

Thanks!

There are two Showtime series that do this - one is called Deeper Throat and is about the making of Throat: A Cautionary Tale. The other I can't remember the name of but it is about the Debbie Does Dallas remake. I watched both shows when they aired and have not been able to track them down since. :(

I reviewed Behind the Scenes of an Adult Movie. It's a hodgepodge of interviews plus some interesting bits about the actual shooting of EXPOSE ME NOW in particular a scene where a new guy cannot get a hard-on so the producers work around it and eventually bring in Richard Pacheco. This flick also has scenes from other films so that tells me there was not quite enough EXPOSE ME NOW material for a feature length flick.

Showtime's Family Business was a good insight to the running of an adult production company but also focused on the personal lives of those involved with its production. It is what inspired me to get in to production.

I'm not aware of any that dedicate themselves completely to one production fro start to finish but would be in interested in hearing about them too - if they exist!

^---In the 70s,

I saw a terrific double feature:

A Labor of Love

and

Exhibition.

You might be interested in one or both of those films.

Looks like Vinegar Syndrome has done a restoration of A Labor of Love.
