1. They choose a name and a few weeks/months later they don't like it and find a more 'clever' name to use.

2. They get surgery and choose a new name for the 'new look'.

3. Euro girls may change it for an 'American' production because they might think the original European name might be to hard to pronounce. (See Sbando Boy's eurobabe index.)

4. Some are not concerned with the name used and may use whatever the studio/producer suggests. (Think Hustler)

... and I'm sure there are dozens of other reasons.

I will say that from what I know of Aria's experience, a lot of people think that she changed her name from Marie Silva because she got her boob job. However, the story she told me was different.

According to Aria, her sister found out she was doing porn and was appalled that she was using the name "Silva" since that was her mother's maiden name. She was so upset that she demanded tha Aria change her name.

She ended up changing it to Aria for two reasons, 1, because she was in a comic book store and ran across the title "Aria" and the character looked a lot like her, and 2, because she is a VERY good singer, and an aria, well, is a solo operatic piece. Of course with the name change came the new boobs/look as well.

Hope this sheds some light on the issue.
