Don't think I've ever seen a porn 'parody'. The whole idea just doesn't appeal to me - can't understand why it's so insanely popular. I guess the only thing left is cartoons - imagine a live-action version of The Simpsons. Homer gittin' it on with Lurleen in a sleazy motel while, back home, Ned Flanders does Marge over the couch. Be interesting to see the casting.
Most of the parodies coming out these days seem to forget they are supposed to be parodying something, and play out more like grade z remakes with sex scenes arbitrarily thrown in. A few of the fairy tale one's were okay I guess, but the only parody I can actually say I liked from the last few years was the Wizard of Oz one with Maddy O'Reilly. That one actually had a sense of humor and even some catchy songs in it.
Books haven't been parodied yet, not much and I am surprised to say the least, Daniel Defoe especially, Lady Roxana is basically an escort, and Moll Flanders ends to have 5 husbands one of which she found out was her brother
Why doesn't that surprise me? Actually, it occurred to me after posting that I do own a parody movie (as yet unwatched) - The Walking Dead XXX. Bought in a moment of madness and only because I'm an absolutely rabid fan of the TV show. Probably the reason I've never watched it is that it looked pretty terrible from the trailer. I also seriously considered getting the 'Saw' parody (again, huge fan of the movies) but I suspect that's also garbage.
^ I think porn parodies don't work for most people because people want to see real sex and not pretend sex. When the actors are obviously pretending with each other in the run-up to their sex, then this makes their sex look like acting and pretending too. Which isn't hot.
I think there have been some really good porn parodies and I find them a nice break from the endless amount of gonzo porn out there. Some of the better parodies I have seen are Austin Powers, BatFxx, Spiderman vs Superman and lets not forget Pirates 2 is essentially a parody and just a very funny movie in general(+ some awesome sex scenes). In regards to the OP's question I think we can already see where parodies are going and that is a parody of major news stories regarding celebrities such as the Miley Cyrus parody and of course there is always new films and tv shows that will inevitably lead to a parody of some sort.
^ I will get around to watching it & will give it an honest appraisal, though at present I'm suffering from zombie fatigue (as, I imagine, are most people). Has anyone seen the 'Saw' porno? Despite my better judgement I'm still interested...Oh, and are there any other (semi) decent horror parodies?
^ Powertool Massacre is really good. That's from 2007-ish I think. It sends up a bunch of different horror genres. I didn't catch the SAW parody. Sorry the Simpsons parody has already been done. It truly was a hilarious idea. From the even more ridiculous files Wood Rocket did a couple of parodies of SpongeBob SquarePants called "SpongeBob Squarenuts". Any day now I expect a gay studio to do SpongeBob GayPants where SpongeBob fucks Patrick Star, Mr. Krabs, Squidward and even a male jellyfish up the ass with his 21 inch sponge-dick (anyone who watches the cartoon knows that SpongeBob and Patrick fuck each other up the ass every day off-set -- or would if they actually existed, the sexual tension is definitely written into the cartoon). For lesbian action Mrs. Puff can suck Mrs. Krabs' (Mr. Krabs' mother's) clit. Doc McStuffins would also make for a great parody. The flick could be called Doc McStuffed (playable by Misty Stone who is black like the Disney character this idea is based on) and featuring Doc getting fucked by life-size "stuffed" animals played by such male performers as James Deen, Evan Stone, Wolf Hudson and Jack Hammer (and a couple of female performers such as Aaliyah Love and Casey Calvert fucking Doc up the pussy and ass with a strap-on) after examining them for VD and ticks. Partly off-subject but I would like to see another Celebrity Pornhab with Dr. Screw where Dr. Screw is the doctor/head counselor at a drug rehab facility with only female patients and him fucking the patients every chance he gets along with his cute female co-counselors (Shelley Slutpatrick, Diane Duke). Of course suggestive and funny dialogue would be part of this one. One of the patients could be Lindsay Hohan, another could be Paris Builton (and have huge tits). Rounding out the female patients could be Heather Cocklear (complete with a scene of her tied up ala TJ Hooker), Michelle Lushriguez (Michelle Rogriguez from Lost -- she spent at least a few days in jail for a second DUI recently), Britney Rears (yes I know there is a porn performer by that name), Judie Barland (Judy Garland parody), Noelle Shaved (Noelle Bush parody - Jeb Bush's daughter, even her daddy couldn't keep her out of prison on drug charges), Jodie Boston (Jodie Foster parody -- just because I have wanted to bone her for years), Rosie O'Annoying (Rosie O'Donnell parody) and Carrie Hunter (Carrie Fisher parody complete with references to Princess Leia thrills). Since Hustler owns the rights to the series of course Larry Flynt has to have a cameo as Dr. Screw's boss, Heather Cocklear could be shown sucking his dick and swallowing every last drop of Larry's cum.
Can someone explain to me how the makers of parodies get around copyright infringement? Take, for example, The Simpsons parody, as mentioned above; how come the owners/producers of The Simpsons don't sue and/or prevent the parody being made? Or is it considered a compliment by some entertainment franchises to get the 'porn parody' treatment?
Well in Hollywood the next big thing might be video game movies, if they get similar success that comic movies are enjoying I could see that happening. I wonder if anyone would be brave to do a found footage parody since porn already knows how to do POV.
i could be entirely wrong but i think theres only 2 ways to get around this. 1 way is the studio pays whoever they are parodying(?) to let them do a parody. or, they let them do it for free and its some sort of free advertisement.
^ Actually it's law. You have Larry Flynt to thank. As long as something is clearly parody (like, for example, stating "PARODY" on the box), then you are not infringing on copyright. If you do not - like for example, calling it an adaptation - then the company will sue the shit out of you.
The next big thing I'd like to see in porn parodies would be parodies with actual sexy/hot stories and characters instead of directors trying to make it look and sound like the tv show/movie/whatever with some sex scenes thrown in. I don't care about seeing a recreation of the actual show, I'd like to see a porn version of the show where the characters, clothes and situations are over the top porn versions of those things. Wonder Woman should be spilling out of her costume, Daisy Duke should be wearing "dukes" that hardly cover her butt, Walkers/Zombies should be almost naked. The stories should always be very sexual and the characters need to stay in charcter during sex. The parodies should look like a horndog re-imagined them.
Yep. In general, I hope the next big thing in porn parodies is the same amount of attention to constructing the sex scene as they give to the stuff on either side of it.
There are a lot of parodies still to be done and possible. What I like/wanna see is more originality and the lead up to the sex scenes and for them to NOT break character during sex. For example, they should do a modern family parody that plays out like an actual, well-written episode. A comic book/superhero parody should tell us why the characters are having sex instead of just picking two characters, having a small conversation and immediately fucking
^ Part of the problem with that is porn generally doesn't have the writing and acting to make the parody like a "well-written episode". That's why I think porn should play to it's strengths and just try and do a sexy/slutty version of the show/movie in storyline and looks. Part of me gets the fans who like seeing parodies that look and seem just like the thing they're parodying but for me that's not enough to sustain an entire movie. And many times the show they're parodying isn't sexual or sexy and it makes the sex scenes seem to just suddenly come out of nowhere. The fact that they don't stay in character makes it even worse. I don't watch or have seen that many parodies, so it's possible there may be some studios who've done the type of parody I'm talking about but I really haven't seen them from the major studios who do them. But I might be way off base and people prefer them they way they are.
Given how story and character-driven a lot of modern videogames are, does anyone know if one's ever been parodied? The likes of Mass Effect, Bayonetta, Dead Or Alive and, of course, Tomb Raider would all appear ripe for the treatment. I always wanted to see Chris & Sheva get it on in Resident Evil 5. Then there's Mario & Princess Peach.....Actually, no - that's just plain wrong.
