My camera was pretty lucky in Vegas this year, thanks to all who assisted me on my quest for being photographer sextraordinaire...or something like that?? Extra thanks to Jenna Jameson, Brea Bennett, and the entire ClubJenna crew, Hillary Scott, Jenna Haze, and gracias to Rebeca Linares for understanding my Espanol!!
That's some nice work. You got good shots of Jenna Haze, GREAT shots of Rebecca Linares, and equally great shots of Sasha Grey. Courtney Cummz looked quite cute in a few as well. The few you got of Charlotte Stokely were the most natural of the group IMHO, but weren't all that eye popping for whatever reason.
It's really too bad that you had to "fight the light", even in a convention center and use flash so much. While I appreciate these pictures of these amazing girls, I hate how flash makes them look washed out and 2D. I fight it all the time when taking photographs on my own.
I tried to "cheat" and examine the EXIF info on some of your photos, but it's gone, as you've resized the originals. Care to share your camera of choice, and or your shooting mode (Aperture priority, Shutter priority, auto, "P", or manual) ?
I'm extremely jealous of the time you got with these girls, who obviously posed as you directed them (or maybe on their own?) and the GREAT shots you got of them. Must go to AEE next year.
Thanks for the comments. Yeah it's tough, shooting in ever changing lighting conditions, and adjusting my settings to keep up. But that's the style I like to get in my pics that you see...not perfect by any means, but hopefully somewhat stand-out. And no I'm not giving away my secrets that I taught myself hahaha!! And yeah, I totally resized my pics to post these online, the originals are much bigger and sharper. And of course I have to thank the models, I was directing a bit but it always takes two to photo-tango.
I could've watched you sign all damned day Mia...your restlessness was great. Though I had other ninja work to do at the show. You are truly the coolest, glad we finally got lens connected.

Ya the Vivid lighting on the main stage was terrible, same as ClubJenna, the side stage was better. Hustler was good with their set up, seems alot of the booths were identical to last year.
I've been getting photoshop questions...no I don't use photoshop. All my photos are straight from my digital, besides resizing and some cropping on some, the images are as is. I like to keep things real, even if the photos aren't perfect to some. I just use my camera settings to get that look that I want. Thanks for all the compliments.
noahped, thanks for the great pictures and taking the trouble to label them also. Nothing worse than seeing a photo of a beautiful woman and not knowing who she is. In a small way you made me feel like I was there. Maybe next year. Wayne In Dallas

I saw her over by Jules Jordan's booth talking to a few fans who stopped her as she was walking by. This was late on Friday when everything was winding down.
Whoops nevermind I was thinking of Brianna Love.

I'd say it was split almost evenly between girls who were natural photo subjects and those who needed directing. A lot of directing. On Thursday, I was trying a little too hard to position some of the less-modeling-inclined girls. By Saturday, I had simplified my orders to things like "Show me some ass!" That one was pretty effective. Either way, you must attend next year. I can't imagine keeping myself away after my 1st visit last week.
noahped - Great shots. I'm a little bit jealous you got that many photos of Hillary Scott standing up. She's so darn sweet; I just couldn't bring myself to boss her out of her chair.
And like others have already said - thanks for labeling your photos. That's a huge pet peeve of mine, but I can understand how time-consuming that task is, even with copy & paste.
Last week as I was walking to dinner with pretty well known adult photographer, one of the AVN photographers stopped us to ask him what settings he uses to get such great pictures at the show. The answer was "I set everything to automatic". The reason being that with such a variety of different harsh lighting at the show, a good camera is going to do a more consistent job than a photographer who doesn't have the ability to take test shots.
The next day, when this photographer was talking with another AVN photographer, the AVN photographer said that she was keeping her camera on automatic as well.
I believe I talked to that AVN photographer too, and she had asked me which setting she should have it at. *smirk* I told her auto was fine if she didn't want to constantly adjust the settings.
Whether you put it on auto or one of the priority modes, the camera metering will adjust accordingly to the light.
I don't leave mine on auto simply because I don't like the conservative algorithm my camera uses to determine the shot. But I forget to change the settings a lot when I should.
What??? Wow, I can't believe actual AVN photographers feel the need to use AUTO. I haven't seen all of the AVN pics yet, but what I've seen were only so-so to me...hmmm maybe I should send them my portfolio for next year? lol;)
I was talking about the guy who the AVN photographer approached to ask what he did to get such good shots at the show. The AVN photographer wasn't using auto. It was the guy that he was complimenting who was.
Thanks. And yeah Hillary is the best, always so kind to me...but she wasn't standing up for me all the time!! haha!! I so wanted to put my camera down and dive in head first lol
Dude, if I could just leech an ounce of your awesomeness, I'd be 10 times better for it. I just looked through that whole photoset, and I'm officially in awe. When and where was that Jenna Haze shoot? I honestly can't think of a better shoot of her.
As for Hillary... well, she goes beyond words. Just picture me flushed and short of breath, and you get the idea.
Aww dude, thanks a lot I appreciate it. Me and Jenna Haze shot those last November at Jules Jordan's house...we shot really fun and fast with no real setups but I think the pics came out pretty good. It was just me and her in the house for a couple of hours and we had this cool magical vibe going on, at least I think so! She even had to stop one time and walk away because she said she was getting horny haha!! It was absolutely one of the coolest experiences I've ever had. Some of my pics will be on her new website...awesome!!
I'm just a lowly photographer trying to shoot as much as I can, I really love it and I have to thank everyone that has given me a chance this past year!! And it's quool putting some of my portfolio on flickr.com.
Yeah, not too many people knew she was making sporadic appearances (completely unannounced) at the Digital Playground booth. I missed her on Thursday, don't believe she was there on Friday, then finally caught her on Saturday. She was worth the wait. As soon as I finish cropping my Saturday photos (about 33% done now), I'll post 'em.
Yeah, she told me she would be at DP sometime, finally saw her there on the last day(the busiest) as I was making my final round through the floor, and was able to sneak in for a quick pic of her.
Thanks for sharing. Awesome pics, especially Hillary Scott's set. Thanks for putting the names on the picture. I was wondering who Lela Star was, and now that I know, I can look up her movies.
*Smirk* Times have changed. Digital camera have improved. My eyes have worsened. But I still forget to change the settings a lot. Oh, the kicker is that I've been published on AVN several times now.
