At this point 10 years ago Lauren Phoenix ruled the game and the DP famous year of 2003 had come and gone. Belladonna(arguably the performer of the decade if there were to be such an award at the turn of the decade) was in her prime. Would it be correct to say that the teen generation has not surpassed their noughty peers thus far? I tend to think not.

I feel nostalgia may alter peoples views on this but personally as many great performers have entered the business in the last 5 years I'm still waiting on somebody to match either Gianna Michaels or Sasha Grey.

I had to look up what noughties means because it's not part of my lexicon and it never will. There are just some words that I refuse to use. That said I think that comparing the bulk of the women who have started doing porn in the last few years VS those from the beginning of the 21st century is likely to always make todays women look less than those that came before them. The industry was very different back then. You didn't get as many fly by night performers. Someone who chose porn as a career normally stuck with it for a longer time. Mind you the job opportunities aren't comparable either. A girl could pick and choose for which company she wanted to work for and still get plenty of offers. Today none of that exist. You say no to one company and maybe that is the last time we see you in anything.
I would only add that using Lauren was 24 when she started in porn so she was many years removed from being called a teenager and therefore she should only be compared to someone of a similar age who started in porn in the last few years. Good luck finding someone.

My favorites of the 00's were Ashley Blue and Aurora Snow
10's Maddy O'Reilly and Jynx Maze
Can't say I prefer one decade over another, but I have never really been into the more extreme stuff that there is less of these days.

I prefer joy, class and true shiny happiness and also edgy innocence miles above some germananized over the edge nazikinda related DP painbazed and overforced socalled porn.

^Well not all of the last decade was DP and extremities. That just reflected the money that was there to be made. To me there was a certain set of prototypes that came about at the beginning of the last decade that the current decade are simply building off of. For me the proliferation of extreme sex was not why I think the last decade was better. When I compare decades I look at the pornographic prototypes that an era has. For me this gen lacks a Belladonna or a Lauren Phoenix and other great names I can mention though its by no means one sided as this decade has its performers as well. The girl that wins the next POTY will do so on the 10th anniversary of Audrey Hollander's award winning year. I'm not expecting the next POTY to top that performance. The good thing about this decade has been the rise of explicit erotica which should put the faux sex erotica genre to bed in due time.
One thing to consider is that when looking at comparative decades going back to legalization at the beginning of the 70s, it's been the even decades that in my view had the cutting edge porn performers. The reason this is the case I think is because the 80s and 00s were decades of market/media disruption via VHS and the internet/DVD. The teens are simply coasting on that still. I suspect the 20s will again be a decade of disruption of sorts with new forms of media.
