I did not. :( I have to go button shopping before I can finish it. I ended up wearing this dress my grandmother had made in the 60s, saved, and gave to me before I moved back out to LA. It's the last fancy dress in my closet, so I better get busy with the sewing machine, huh? Yeahdude, and the vivid writing style of Ellis somehow makes the story even creepier as a book. There's no blood and gore to distract from the fact that Patrick Bateman is a serious lunatic.
I love that movie. I also kinda like "Rules of Attraction," even though it got bad reviews. Never really enjoyed actually reading Ellis, but the stuff translates into some entertaining screenplays. I remember NYC in the 1980s: Tranny hookers, heroin and crack, AIDS explosion and drunk-ass nights at the Pyramid Club. Sigh ... those were the days.
Stoya, I bet you clean up real nice...I imagine you looked amazing in that dress.

Making clothes must be really time-consuming. From designing them to actually making it. But I think you have a great talent for it. I'll have to check out the book. If I remember correctly, Patrick Bateman's father is a minor character in "The Rules of Attraction." Talking about books, what are some of your favorite books? I finally got my copy of Stoya: Sexual Freak in the mail today. You look sooo good on the cover.Yeah, I liked the movie too. The part where the guy goes to Europe is pretty funny. I watched that part a couple times to get all of it (it's on Youtube). I was really young in the 80s, but from what I've heard, NYC was way different than today. happy valentines day :) yeah, plus if you're halfway decent with cooking, the taco bell taco kit is almost as good as the real thing. right now i'm wishing i was good at working a stove.
what'd you end up doing for Valentine's Day? i went and watched a movie with homegirl in Houston and I wouldn't say it was a waste of time cuz i got to see her, but it was VERY uneventful and now i'm fucking tired as hell. ugh. i'm not sure wtf is going on with her and I. i'm too lazy to cook. i'll just go wait in line for 30 mins rather than have to cook and shit. stoves are pretty easy to operate. electric ones at least....gas ones i'm kinda afraid of. precooked food is awesome.

valentines day? i kept working on that dress i've been making. all that's left is the buttonholes and buttons now. i'm really excited :) yeah, the stove in my apartment is gas. i'm really not into fucking around with those big matches and working the pilot light. hence the sucking at working it.
