In case anyone's interested, here's a Stoya podcast. (I haven't listened to it yet as I just found it, so I can't tell you how good or bad it is, or whether it has any new info, etc.)

Eep, this is kind of a pet peeve of mine, but the recent fascination with "quantum physicists" as being the new sort of "rocket scientists" is kind of irritating to me. Anyone with a physics education that wasn't taught at Praise The Lord University or somewhere like that is going to know plenty of quantum theory - I'm an engineering student and much of my recent physics final was on electromagnetics and didn't really touch on any classical physics. Hell, even my chemistry demanded that I memorize quantum number schemes and molecular geometry and shit like that, so pretty much any physicist is going to be a "quantum" physicist. /rant over Anways, on topic: I apologize if you've answered this elsewhere, Stoya, but do you maintain your Facebook fanpage or is that someone else's doing?
How bout Theoretical Physicists. And I'm pretty peeved they didn't differentiate between CNA, RN, or Nurse Practitioners... they all pretty much work with patients.

yeah, pretty much anything from the last 100 years can be considered quantum and if you're a physicist and you're not dealing with quantum mechanics, then you must suck at what you do. :) yay for physics!!

Oh, that's not what I mean - a fanpage is a different beast altogether from a user's profile. Fanpages were in fact created in response to waves of people making phony profiles for Scooby Doo or Popeye or what have you, which I guess they have a problem with. People don't send out friend requests that require approval to a fanpage, they just opt to "become a fan" and it requires no approval from the fanpage admin. The distinction might not be completely intuitive, so here's [ invalid url ] I don't think the person who runs it would really object to turning it over to you, and if they do, well, you can report them to Facebook admins for infringement and take it for yourself that way, too.
i wrote off facebook a couple years ago cause of the two name thing, and didn't know they had set up fanpages... digital might have set this up. which is totally cool, but i should probably make sure... thx for the info :)
