I have recently gotten into watching a lot of porn from those years. It just feels so fresh.
Lots of faces, fresh scenes, non repetitiveness. Love the aesthetics, cinematography, outfits and fashion. Everything just clicks.
Now, I know people like to associate the "golden era" with the time they got into watching porn but I genuinely feel there's something more at work here, I just can't put my finger on it.
For me this is the best era of porn ever. I'm biased since I was in high school during this time period, but these 10 years saw some of the hottest girls to do American porn. Also, what I loved about this era were how much more natural the women were, the 90's & 00s had been dominated by awful fake tits. The 2010s was also the decade of the PAWG. Some of my favorites include Dani Daniels, Callie Calypso, Leah Gotti, Anikka Albrite, Remy LaCroix, Lily Love, Lana Rhoades, Karlie Montana, Mischa Brooks, Megan Rain, Rahyndee James, Brooklyn Lee, Eva Lovia, Adriana Chechik, Jamie Jackson, Jessa Rhodes, Christy Mack, Kissa Sins, Abella Danger, Madison Ivy, Carter Cruise, Gia Paige, Katie St. Ives, Makenna Blue, Nicole Aniston, Sasha Grey, Stoya, Jenna Haze, Belladonna, Tori Black, India Summer, Kelly Diamond, and more there's too many to name. Also loved ebony girls like Scarlit Scandal & Alexis Tae who came towards the end of the decade.

I have around 8000 scenes dated from 2012 - 2017 and these are the ones from just the first first 400 because there's too much lol. Most of them are post 2015. But I am actively increasing my library backwards in time.

I'd like to shift that timeframe just a little bit. "My golden era" was 2008-2013. I think the decline started as early as 2015. leading to the current wasteland.
It was definitely a great decade. I had kind of had enough of porn by 2007 - 2009 and thought I'd quite altogether. Then someone hinted me about babes such as Keisha Grey, Ashley Adams, Shae Summers and whoever else there were and they got me back into porn. So many great babes and scenes... I think one big name of that decade is Peta Jensen, but there were so many others, too.
I think I found a good example of cinematography and outfits.
This is a scene called "Filthy Fuck" from Brazzers and she is but of course - AJ Applegate (pre boob job)
The outfits scream slutty next door, quite realistic compared to "this is obviously porn" and the jewellery is basically brazzers advertising but you will find the same aesthetics in a lot of scenes of the era. Either they are minimal or very tastefully bulky. Very non-emo like if that makes sense. Take hookup hotshot for instance, the outfit style just doesn't work for me personally.
