The review of Jamie Loves Jeff by vodka tonic (as linked on the home page) is below standard for adult dvd talk. It is liberally sprinkled with homophobic insinuations regarding Jeff Stryker, a one-time bisexual male porn performer. The use of these insinuations is highly unprofessional in my view.

Adult dvd talk's reviews are generally of a high standard. Pity vodka tonic had to sully it.

Arthur, are you on a crusade?

Perhaps you can join forces with the other great American crusader G.W.B.?

Arthur, I was just trying to have a little fun reviewing an abysmal movie. What shocked you in the review ? Was it the whole tone or isolated sentences ? I wrote the review armed with the knowledge that members know I am gay and low-standard, but I do forgot that there are a lot of anonymous visitors reading these reviews who could mis-interpret it as homophobic. I do think people have a sense of humour, but I will trust the webmasters' judgment in that case. If you feel I've been a bit too far, simply remove the review, I won't take it personally.

Calibrate your irony detector!
Or if yours is beyond means of any repair, I have heard there is a sale of unused irony detectors at Cardassia Prime.

Please leave immediately to get yourself one, but use a below-speed-of-light vessel.

Great review . The descriptions of the people/acts were much more cynical/accurate than many of the other reviews that I've read of similar movies.

Sadly Jamie seemed to spend much of her career on similar movies (quality wise). You have to sit through a bunch of goofieness to see her in action .

I thought the review was absolutely hilarious. This was one movie that I have always stayed away from watching as I was sure that the makers were just playing a cruel joke on us straight guys by pairing Jeff Stryker with "the Brat".

I think vodka tonic's great review has confirmed my suspicions.

OMG! Thanks for that great review vodka tonic, you are one of my favorites here. I love your sense of humor, so please don't let others get to you.

arthur, if you have issues you should email the reviewer directly. Public attacks concerning reviews are not encouraged or appreciated in these forums, and this crusade of yours is wearing thin.

for the last time ... dude should open his open porn company, bury the competition, and then tell everyone to go cram it with walnuts! I'm actually trying to help here because as MUCH as this dude and I don't agree you gotta respect that kind of passion. most of the directors out now started small with their own handheld stuff. time to step up and do it.

I see the review is slowly creeping up the top 50 recent chart. What a fantastic job ! Arthur, I should hire you as my personal p.r, I couldn't have done it without you.
And mucho to everybody else, I'm gonna celebrate this vote of confidence with an enema. In the immortal words of Kimi : SWOOOSH !

Uhmmmmm. If he's bi, then it's not an insinuation. It's a comment on what is. Of course, you've never let reality stop you before, so why start now? Either get off the drugs, or get on them. Whichever way you're doing things now sure as hell isn't working.

Same here! LOL I really lost it when I read, "Jeff tries to undress Jamie without ruining her hairstyle (we would never do that to a sister).

vodka tonic,

One of the reasons I like adultdvdtalk is the consistent high standard of the movie reviews. I would say they are probably close to being the best on the web. As for your review of Jamie Loves Jeff, I just feel it was unnecessary for you to show us how "funny" you are by including those insinuations. You could've just said the movie bored you to tears and leave it at that.

I knew my reviews were too wordy. From here on out, we'll go this way:

Writer's Block: "It bored me."

No, No Briana: "I liked it."

That'll really uphold the quality of reviewing here.

Vodka tonic needs to send arthur a bottle of champagne for all the publicity he's throwing VT's way.

Shit, I'm working on a batch of reviews which are taking much more time than I'd expected, because of, you know, descriptions, and words and stuff.

If only I'd known before. Thanks Artie.

VT ~ You might think thet you're Gay, or Bi, or whatever, but you aren't really, until you get a copy of the rulebook off of arthur. Funny reiew though!

cheers,

Rule book? We have a rule book? Damn it! One more book to read. And I bet I'm breaking every single one of them.

VT that review is a riot! Arthur... lighten up! A good review of a bad movie tends to have some humor in it. That one was a great review of a bad movie.
