What is the most effective way of getting rid of the smell from a woman's most intimate of areas off of you? Are there any ways to just stop it where it starts that are more effective?
You might as well ask the reverse too - how to get rid of the cigarette / booze / semen smell from men... Really, there's nothing "unique" to women here.

Well, the smell seems tough to get off my hands especially. I had the thought maybe it was a nonpolar material, and therefore would wash off with oil-based products (read: cooking oil) but this didn't work, nor did washing with soap and water.
I've never heard of such a thing. Seems like there's some information missing here. Human female? How long ago was this, for the smell to still be there? Are you using some kind of odd product as a lubricant, and maybe that's the persistent odor?

Haha yes, human female. If I wash my hands RIGHT afterwards then the smell doesn't persist but if not, well then you can still smell it when you smellmy fingers like all day. Obviously it's hard to say "thanks babe, time to wash your pussy off my hands" so I usually don't wash it until a little later. I'm not sure how evident it is to other people, but I sure as hell notice it.
Okay, they sell pleasure wipes, but I'm sure baby wipes will do, or a damp washcloth on the nightstand. Just wipe off. Nothing wrong with wiping up. If you aren't that open about things, tell her that you're getting your cum off there. Maybe she has some stuff she'd like to wipe off, too.
Or, don't let the people at work smell your fingers.
Any kind of citrus cleaner will take the smell (of just about anything, but absolutely the smell of body anything <underarms, groin sweat, semen or pussy juice>). I'm not referring to "great lemon scented dishwashing liquid" I mean citrus cleaner, like Super Orange, CitriSolv, or Orange Magic (there are lots of other ones out there, too).
Swarfega gets just about anything off your hands. You can get it from motor part shops or light industry supply shops in the UK. This is the kind of stuff you need as it removes polar and covalent substances and includes a gritting agent (just watch you don't get it mixed up with the lube . Whilst at the motor shop you could also consider buying some barrier cream which will stop the scented fluids getting into your skin pores to begin with.
Sir Noel.
PS, if you're 'on the hoof' and don't have access to such a cleaner you could try urinating or better still vomiting over your stinky digits.

Haha, this sounds like one of those tricks. Just like when you get stung by a jellyfish you have to have someone piss on you. I may invest in some orange-glo or whatever stuff for hand cleaning. Thanks fellas.
My husband happens to like the "scent". In fact, he has a big handle-bar mustache and he says that when my "scent" is no longer on his mustache then he knows that his day is over and it's time to come home and get it "waxed" again.
A healthy vagina smells slightly musky; healthy semen smells sort of like copper and cream. Both are discernable but usually barely so, certainly not enough to be overpowering. If this is what you're smelling, lavender oil diluted in water could work to counter either of these odors.
But if what you're smelling is an overpoweringly unpleasant "fishy" or "toilet" odors, even after proper hygiene, the cause is likely a microbial infection such as trich. Since partners can pass this back and forth, it's important that both be treated. If what you smell seems more "bready," suspect a yeast infection. A douche of 7 drops of tea tree oil to a bottle of solution can be helpful both in countering the problem and the odor.
Not to contradict what FastForward said, because he's mostly right, but there is much variety amongst people and their body odors. Just like some people have such a problem with underarm body odor that they get botox to stop the sweat glands from functioning, some people have unusually strong private area odors. They aren't unhealthy odors, just VERY strong natural body chemistry smells. Likewise, some people have a very acute sense of smell. A slight odor may drive them up a wall all day, while noone around them smells it at all. I fall into this group of people. I could be a bloodhound, I smell EVERYTHING. Some scents are particularly specific and the more out of place they are, the more likely they are to feel unpleasant and noticable. If I could smell sex on myself while visiting my piano teacher maiden auntie, I'd be running to the bathroom to wash every other minute.

During both of my wife's two pregnancies, she had an incredibly heightened sense of smell (a super-sensitivity to unpleasant odors, mostly), which created significant discomfort for her. For instance, the smell of "normal", as opposed to "rotten", garbage was unbearable for her. We jokingly referred to this at the time as "her bionic nose".
Once our first child was born, she developed "bionic ears". She found she was able to hear our son make even the faintest noises from his crib while she was elsewhere in our home that she swears would never have been perceptible to her prior to his birth.
Although she lost her "bionic nose" immediately after the birth of each of our children, she has never lost her "bionic ears". She was a very sound sleeper before she became a mother; since then she has become, much to her chagrin sometimes, a light sleeper -- ever aware, on some level, of the slightest stirrings of the kids at all hours of the night.
I, on the other hand, have never developed "bionic ears". I'd like to think that I'm not deaf to the sounds of our children, but I'm certainly not proud to admit that my awareness in this area has clearly not stepped up to my wife's level.
I became hyper-aware of sounds for a brief while over 20 years ago, when my husband was in the hospital with brain hemorrhaging and a leg injury, and there was no room for him on the neuro ward (with a much more adequate nursing staff), so i had to sit up all night in the orthopedic ward to stop him from trying to out of bed. I would drop off to sleep, and wake at the tiniest rustle of his sheets.
I've always had a keener sense of smell than those around me - I notice smells as we are approaching the source long before they do. But that still doesn't mean that I mind the smell of pussy, sweat, or other harmless or healthy natural odors. ---------------------------------------------------------
