Well how about all-sex vignettes? And I'm also not talking the usual ghetto-themed films and scenarios that companies so love to produce. Can't say I'm always been Napier's biggest fan, but I just saw a vignette with him and Avy Scott, and thought he was quite good in it. I always thought he was pretty good in those actually. Doesn't have to just be him though. How about giving some other "IR" talent a chance sometimes. Doesn't have to be the same people, all the time. Mix-it-up a little.
Unfortunately, calling porn racist is too simple. There are racists in the industry, true, but a good deal of 'racist' porn has simply followed the 'Jackass' model of entertainment. The more outraged you are the better they like it.

Sometimes I think the IR industry is trying to be a mini-industry in and of itself. It seems to be mimicking the 80's where you had a relative handful of starlets doing all the porn. It seems as though they are thinking that IR consumers like certain girls and that certain girls sell IR. I think that's the incorrect model. The model should be "the more the merrier".
Pornographers have long had a love-hate relationship with their customers. Well, most of the love is for the money; there's clearly disdain behind some of what passes for product these days. Mind you, I'm not suggesting that every producer sneers at his audience, but if you're low on the totem pole there's a natural desire to believe somebody else is even lower.
I've recently come to the conclusion that the whole "we can say things that are racist cuz we're not racist so it's cool" attitude has got to go. Be it in porn or on Family Guy. Where are the feminist jokes? Where is the anti-racist satire? No...I've begun to think that these guys are just creating a medium for their subconscious racist feelings. They're not healing the wounds, just scratching and picking at the scab.

I wish subconscious racism were the only problem. On sports radio, I recently heard a host say this: "If you don't think there is racism out there, just visit youtube and look at the comment section on any clip about anything--there is automatically a racial divide" He goes on to say that youtube is not the barometer but it is a barometer. What's interesting about youtube comments is not just the racial divide, but it's the nature of it. You will see comments that look like they were written by white people who lived in the 1800's and prior. Michael Richard's outburst is actually pretty tame by youtube standards. I suspect this is the case with any unmoderated forum--and an unmoderated forum has to be seen as reflecting what is said behind closed doors. I suspect many of the posters are minors, far from the experience of a Michael Richards. How do minors, who know nothing of life in the past seem so familiar and comfortable with the ideologies present at that time? They're being taught those ways of thinking.
Roads to Moscow, thanks for starting this (what will hopefully remain constructive) thread As for things I'd like to see: 1) More regular mainstream titles which have IR scenes in them (not titles which sound like the who title is about IR...almost like shock value or something) 2) More big name black ladies on the covers of movie boxes. I mean, there are some great female black performers who cannot get any love on appearing on box covers. 3) Some new talent in IR scenes (especially some Europeans who previously did IR titles abroad who avoid doing such scenes once they cross the pond)

Capital One used to advertise that they allowed their customers to design their own card. If you really want one and are willing to pay a hefty annual fee, that is probably your best bet. Last I checked, they were catering to the people with not so good credit, so their cards have an annual fee of up to $74 and an interest rate close to 25% APR. I really can't say how good they are to deal with, I have my credit card account with my local credit union (and a decent credit score -- wonder if Cap One would deny me due to paying my bills on time and my credit score being in the low 800's -- I have actually heard of that happening lately).

To me, the most outrageous thing in porn is when porn stars get on a message board like this to argue with fans about the race of a guy they worked with in the past. I've seen that on here and it boggles the mind. ^ True but since this movie has three Zero Tolerance Contract stars in it perhaps they workked around a specific budget. I mean it has a big name director who certainly cost some considerable money. I really just hope that the scriptwriters hit a homerun becuase i'm sure that all the camerawork and sound editing will be superb. If this movie is succefull I'm sure there will be more volumes to come; hopefully with other black actors since we are a constant in the horror movie genre.

Some clarifications to the quoted post above: I've been in remission for a very long time now. About six years. Time flies. Criminal Justice and Psychology also almost require Master's degree credentials now for more than entry-level positions. With the job market, you may as well live on student loans three more years and get it done now -- some money coming in is better than none and the degree will pay for itself when you are done.

I've seen in my lookup of filmographies that starlets with IR on the resume are busier. They tend to have more non-IR titles on the resume than girls who have not done IR!

Another point about IR... I hate to do this, but I'm going to have to say for the record that I am a Black guy who has been told on numberous occasions that I am very attractive. Others like me may be able to vouch for the fact that the setup in porn seems illogical to us.
