On Tuesday, August 31, Cult Epics is re-releasing the Tinto Brass Collection on DVD. This time, all three films are promised to be uncut.

The films in the set are:
All Ladies Do It 1992
The Key 1983
Miranda 1985

For those not familiar with the name, Tinto Brass is an amazing Italian softcore director. He is probably most famous in the US for Caligula . His work is very erotic, beautifully shot, and pushes limits without crossing the line into hardcore. The three films in this set are also available separately.

Don't know whether they were uncut or not, but they released 7 of his films over here (Ireland & UK) a while back, including the three you mentioned. I'd seen one or two before, but I quite enjoyed the others Black Angel, Paprika, Frivolous Lola and Cheeky as well as the three you mentioned.

I've seen it but it was years ago. I've actually got the 2-disc set from Blue Underground but haven't got around to watching it. Anyway, it's probably the best known of the 'SS exploitation' films that followed in the wake of The Night Porter . It's actually quite serious, from what I remember, but exploitation nonetheless. I'm not sure if I'd recommend it or not; the disc has remained unopened for about a year now, so I suppose that's revealing. It's certainly very stylish but I find films like The Key and Miranda far more enjoyable. In fact, Salon Kitty has some decidedly unpleasant imagery in it. I'm pretty sure there are some disturbing shots of dwarves and amputees but, as I said, it's many years since I've seen it.

Incidentally, I posted this a while back but it was deleted due to server problems; Cult Epics are releasing Frivolous Lola (Monella) on disk shortly. I think this will be the first time the uncut version has been released outside of Italy.
