I've never had anal sex partly because it doesn't turn me on thinking about it and also because I've heard that it's really painful. My question is: Do women really like anal sex or do they just say/pretend they do to make their partner happy? Also, doesn't it hurt badly even when lots of lube is used? I have a few gay male friends and they all say it hurts like hell but they still enjoy it. I try to have an open mind but I think if my gf came at me with a strap-on aimed at my butt I'd freak. lol

Some truly like it and some don't. Some PREFER it to vaginal sex, some don't. Some find it feels good, and some don't. You won't know which you are until you try it. Go ahead, it won't kill you. Find someone you enjoy having sex with and give it a try. Then decide if it's for you. You may be surprised! Yes, some really do prefer it to other forms of sex.

Yes we love it. There is no other feeling like it. There is NO pretending. It's total ecstasy.

I'm a bi guy so I can't speak for women.
Butt...the question about whether or not it hurts is highly subjective and depends on many factors.
The first time I did it was really painful but for some reason, the pain really turned me on and that's why I kept doing it. Unfortunately for me, it never really felt like that again.
After you've done it a few times it doesn't hurt unless it's a big cock. The biggest one I ever took was around 9" and was pretty thick. It was a little uncomfortable but didn't really hurt.
Some people like it and some people don't. If you're curious but scared to try it with a guy, get yourself a dildo that's about the same size as the dick you're thinking of fucking and some lube and try it out. The worst thing that can really happen is that it'll hurt and you won't like it and you got your hands dirty.
EDIT - The most important thing to remember about anal (assuming you don't like pain) is to go slow and firm. Usually if it really hurts bad it's because the top tried to go to fast.
I hate to sound gross but you have to remember what this hole is meant to do and how it's meant to function. It was designed to open slowly.

I don't know how many women who say here (or other places) that they really enjoy anal are telling the truth. I'm not the lease bit hesitant about saying that I really don't enjoy it at all. Professionally I categorically will not do it. In personal relationships, I can't say that I never have but the instances are few and faw between and limited to those partners with whom I have enjoyed a close, considerate and erotic relationship. That is not to say that in a few cases anal hasn't been a turn-on when I've done it but as in the case of so many things sexual, a good deal of it is the state of minde of the participants.
Two factors: first as Randomprecisoin has already stated, the anal canal is not anatomically omni-directional. It is really made to pass things in one direction only. Secondly, far unlike conventional fucking which can really bo done pretty impromtu and with very little preparation, anal must be done very gently and there has to be some signigicant preparatory relaxation on the part of the recipient.
As I said, I'm far from a fan of it and I can say that never once have I requested it from the viewpoint of me gaining pleasure.

Relax, Relax, Relax.
If you go into anal sex thinking that it is going to hurt, it will. You will tense up and it will be the most painful sexual experience ever.
If you are relaxed and trust your partner it can be a wonderful experience.
I like letting my guy go back and forth and will even turn around and go down on him during for A2M.
The mood has to be right and you have to be really turned on, and be up for anything goes type of night.
This is not something that happens often maybe once a month, but certainly adds to the sex life.

I assume the question is if the girls like being the receiving part? :>
It can be fun but can't really say why some seem to prefer it. Maybe I need to explore it more.
But I love that my boyfriend seems to like it very much, but on the other hand he has his g-spot there so
it would be strange if he didn't(except if he had some issues with his sexuality, like homophobia)?
So I love anal sex when being the giver, not really thrilled about being the receiver.

When I worked in adult retail this subject came up several times a day so I'll start with what i told those asking how it's best to get into anal sex. First thing I always said was "it should never ever hurt" and I stand by that statement. anal sex is a process, first and foremost you must be able to relax, i'd tell my customers to make sure she washes out with an enema, then start out giving her a nice erotic massage to get any tension out of her body, then start with a finger or very small toys slowing gaping the hole without allowing the woman to have any pain, it helps to talk gently to keep her relaxed. it's all about building her up to the point to where she can take your cock without any pain which is very possible if you are patient, lots and lots of lube but never use desensitizing lube or creams b/c she needs to be able to feel if it's too rough b/c damage can be done up in there
Personally if I'm in a deeply passionate relationship I like anal on occasion especially with a toy or vibrator in my pussy hitting my gspot, it can be a very powerful full body orgasm if the situation is right and the preparation was taken ahead of time

The secret to anal sex is mental as well as physical preparation. The preparation includes enemas and lube, but the mental part is the key to enjoying anal sex. If a girl doesn't have it mentally to want to get fucked in the ass, she will never enjoy it. The best sex organ is the brain.

I hope this helps, I may be the only gay man posting on this so far. I am the bottom (gay slang for I only receive, not give) in my relationship. I would say doing it often will get you used to it. My BF is 8" and he fucks me 2-3 times a week. A previous post mentioned having gay friends who said it hurt like hell but they still enjoy it. For me muscle control, lube and the fact that I get fucked so often makes it "no pain, only gain."

I do know a few women who enjoy anal more than vaginal.
And if the woman is relaxed and chemistry is great then there is nothing more pleasureable than a woman moaning in your lap with your call balls deep in her behind.

I don't "hate" anal but it does nothing for me. It feels okay, once you get past the initial pain but I've never came from it. It also makes me sexually frustrated because I still feel like I need cock vaginally during/after the act but since my husband comes from anal, I end up having to use a vibrator to finish myself off. Toys are fun but I prefer cock so I feel shortchanged when I have to use a toy when my man is there! I'd prefer to use them only to put on a show for him or to get myself off when he's away and we can't have sex.
The things I like about anal are how turned on it makes my husband. I like seeing him thoroughly enjoy it and feel closer to him during the act. I could never be with someone that preferred it to vag sex though. I have a perfectly good g-spot and clitoris to make me come and anal just doesn't get me there.
