Sorry I derailed the thread momentarily, now back the the previously scheduled thread already in progress.
I am 26 and I did milf movies do to the fact that I needed implants after having a family. I got my boobs done in october of 2006 and I will still likly fall into that catagory. Not because of looks but because of age. it is a huge catagory with a limit of work. My friends and I have spoken about the industry and I have told them that even though I have done only a few scenes my pornlife will be short. They estimate that I can easily do 3-5 years more. I do not feel that the industry is that forgiving to 26 plus woman. the age seems to make people slowly cringe and look for the earlier 18, 19 and young 20 somethings. For me younger girls can do great scenes and some still look unsure. I like to think there are better odds on an older woman who knows her ways around sex. Youthful will always be great for fantasy and I hope that people want to be in awe of the sex divas too. In the end it should be up to the consumers until they stop buying.

I love watching young models, but I also like the sex divas. I hope that many of them will be in XXX Movies as long as possible. Of course I buy and rent DVDs with models 40+, but there are very, very few still playing at this age.

I have read a statistic from the Adult Industry, that the time span of female stars is shorter than ever.
You are right, it all depends on the customer. But I think the companys dont want to take the risk to direct a movie with a 40+ actress.
I know only of companys in the UK, producing many porn movies with 40-50 models. And if stars like Nautica and Kaylaini are still there in 2017, of course I would rent her movies.

I have a question about the porn industry. How come it is basically the only media industry that is not consolidated? In film, TV, and music all the companies are consolidated with each stusio being a subsidiary of a parent company. Porn isn't like this a lot of independant private companies. The producers would flex much more power if it was consolidated also could control the flood of content which makes the market saturated.
