My own choice for Vanessa or someone like her would have been Salma Hayek, but I think that would be too much to hope for. I would have to see pics of Ms. Henao in "costume" before making a judgement.
I hope they have some nudity in this movie, such as a scene where she's filming a movie (they can always call "Cut!" before anything explicit happens) or Vanessa doing a feature dance appearance. I got to see Vanessa dance at Chicago's Admiral Theater back in 1991 and she was great doing an old-style burlesque striptease with full nudity. (An example of that can be found at the end of Viva Vanessa The Undresser.)

Made its modest (for a film) goal I see. Hoepfully this comes to fruition, the Vanessa Del Rio doc she did was full of crazy stories of her hooking in NYC in the 70s. Her unabashed honesty was really something.
Also good to see they didn't run into any issues with Indieagogo like the bluray for Misty Beethoven did.

This sounds good ,but I just don't know who they could get to play her. The first person who pops into my mind is the actress who played Magnum's wife on Magnum P.I. ( I'm a huge fan of that show ) Her name is Marta Dubois. The problem is that she is too old now. She looks more like Vanessa than anyone I've seen. I hope they do a good job on this . Vanessa deserves it. I'm in my late fifties and I will never forget the first time I saw her in Dracula Exotica in a real old fashion porn theater. I've been in love with her ever since. I got to meet her around the time her book came out. She had gained some weight, but she was still beautiful. Viva Vanessa !
