Great news on 2 more titles. With the recent announcement on 4K T-rex I wonder what the first 4K adult will be. I think this would be a very bold move for any of the films that started with true 4K scans from negative.
Since no one else has yet posted this here (shameful!), we have our two final hardcore releases of 2019 planned for December and they are:

Just as important (perhaps more so?), our Black Friday sale starts this coming Friday (the 29th) and goes through Monday the 2nd. Just about every title in our catalog will be marked down to 50% off SRP. The site is currently offline as we prep it for Black Friday, but it'll be going back up around 12:01 AM EST on Friday the 29th.

Enjoyed both of the movies a great deal. Hard Soap looked so great and even the film print first part was really easy on the eyes. The window scene was classic. Disco Lady though short on plot more than made up for it with Rhonda Jo Petty looking young and fresh and downright nasty banging away in the bathroom. Great stuff!

Working through my VS Black Friday haul. The Shaun Costello commentaries for Afternoon Delights was a pleasant surprise, I was so stoked to get a copy that I didn't even notice that was an extra.
Well... my best suggestion then is to wait for another company to buy/lease the rights from Vinegar Syndrome for the films you want on Blu-ray that are only getting released on DVD and put out releases that make you happy.
1) None of the DVD only titles are limited editions, so they're not going to sell out at some point.
2) Hardcore DVDs sell about as well as hardcore Blus. And plenty of people who buy 70s/80s hardcore titles on disc still want DVDs (and not Blus, as strange as that might seem). My best guess is that many are 50+ and just don't have Blu-ray players.
3) As I've said before, if making Blus were the same price as DVDs (rather than 2-3x more expensive), we'd probably do more hardcore Blus.
If a title is a limited edition, it will say so in the product description, such as "This Blu-ray/DVD combo of MARY! MARY! is strictly limited to 2,000 units!" If no such notice is listed, then it's not limited. Many of our releases have limited SLIPCOVER editions, meaning that the film itself is not limited, but rather the edition with a slipcover is. Such listings will include wording like "This special limited edition embossed slipcover (designed by Earl Kessler Jr.) is limited to 2,000 units and is only available here at VinegarSyndrome.com!" You seem to be referencing stock totals which literally mean how many units of the title/edition we have in stock. All titles eventually drop to low stock numbers, and then, assuming they're not limited, we press more and they go up again. Therefore, a non-limited product might sometimes drop below 500, or even temporarily sell out if we don't get our restock in fast enough. There's nothing deceptive about listing stock totals.
I'm not sure where you're getting that hardcore Blus sell better than horror Blus by percentage. I'm not even entirely sure what that means. Yes, we release many more horror Blus than hardcore, and some certainly sell better than others, but generally speaking, hardcore Blus take longer to sell through their initial pressings than non-horror Blus, and a lot of this has to do with the very limited interest on the part of third party retailers. Unlike horror titles, where we are assured consistent third party retail orders, hardcore Blus are mostly sold through our site and, unlike horror titles, see their sales die off rather quickly.
To the extent that we get third party sales on hardcore titles, Blus don't sell any better than DVD only editions and, given the increased manufacturing costs, it's really tough to justify all of the extra expenses involved to essentially then have to sell double the product compared to DVDs in order to make back the initial investment.
And yeah, sure, I'd be happy to do OBSESSED, and would release a Blu if we were ever to get it...but we have neither the rights nor elements to do a Blu (or DVD, for that matter).

John Lyons oddly failed to announce the, in my opinion, far more exciting news that they are releasing a double bill of Paul Vatelli's I Like to Watch and Sorority Sweethearts in a Blu-ray and DVD combo pack on June 30th. The release is available for pre-order already during the half-way to Black Friday sale.
Vinegar Syndrome has announced that either this year or next year, they are going to release their first French hardcore film Furies Sexuelles (aka Thoroughly Modern Mary Magdalene). The version they have, Les Marie-Madeleines, the negative for is the original 105-minute cut, almost 20 minutes longer than previous versions released on video.
I have not. Unfortunately, I have seen very little foreign classics. The American versions are often altered, and the good looking foreign releases have been prohibitively expensive to import (plus the fun of finding out some didn't have listed English tracks).

I've really racked up quite a bill with Vinegar Syndrome with their last two or three sales, most of it being their hardcore releases (though there is the odd B-gem like Raw Force or Tammy & The T. Rex). I've wanted them to do a foreign release for a long time now; I even suggested Sensational Janine as a longshot. Never heard of Furies Sexuelles, but will definitely check it out.
The last two Vinegar Syndrome hardcore Blu-rays will be James Bryan's High School Fantasies and "Sven Conrad's" Frat House, both coming out on December 29th.
Going forward in 2021, all hardcore releases will now be through their new Peekarama sublabel. The Peekarama releases will be switching from DVD to Blu-ray and they are saying that there will be 7 releases in 2021, many of which will be double features.
The first of the 2021 Peekarama releases will be the Jaacov Jaacovi double feature of Taxi Girls and Heavenly Desire coming out on January 26th.
Ok, here's another example of how 2021 is going to be a much BETTER YEAR than 2020. More hardcore vintage double features from Vinegar Syndrome: FANTASTIC! The fact that Vinegar Syndrome seems to favor Blu-Ray now over DVD is the BEST part of this news. Through audio commentaries and beautifully restored prints, the very respectful approach of Vinegar Syndrome to vintage adult films has always seemed to be: Take a look at these films (or give them another look) because there is so much more to them than the culture at large would have you believe.
For years... many vintage adult films came out with murky, unattractive prints on DVD. The attitude in the home video industry seemed to be: Well, murky is "good enough" for these "sub-par" movies.
Then Vinegar Syndrome, Command Cinema, and a few other companies started releasing sharper, more vibrant versions of these films, giving them new life, and promoting them in a way that could entice even younger generations to give them a look. Maybe even film-lovers and preservationists in general might start to take notice of the forgotten genre, vintage adult films.
Big KUDOS to Vinegar Syndrome for going in the right direction for the home market for these vintage films. Blu-Ray, more than DVD, shows the genre off as a crisp, colorful, creative world world that deserves respect and greater exploration.

Hello Flash! I was reacting mostly to the announcement from Vinegar Syndrome that "Just like VS, Peekarama will be Blu-ray only from here on out. " That's a step in the right direction, in my opinion.
I'd felt a little backwards buying DVDs when every other home video purchase I was making from the mainstream companies and boutique labels was either a 4K disc or a Blu-Ray... So, my enthusiasm is for the announcement that Vinegar Syndrome is abandoning DVD as it moves forward.
Your point, Flash, about how the number of hardcore releases is dwindling is well taken. I had not realized how many titles VS had put out during 2020.
Would I welcome more hardcore material from VS, yes, indeed, I would, but I am very happy about the level of quality an all Blu-Ray lineup implies.
Taxi Girls and Heavenly Desires are awesome announcements. Since the physical media adult output slowed down last year, it would be great if they could once again release digital versions of lesser known/wouldn't be worth it on blu-ray titles to ADE, Hotmovies, and AEBN. They probably have everything on my want list but can't justify disc replication financially. I don't know the logistics/time with just scanning low budget '1-3 day wonders' and submitting them digitally entails though.

I just missed the Black Friday sale because it shutdown at midnight EST instead of PST. Bummer. But good to see their Canadian shipping is reasonable now, will do a big order once the site is back up post-sale.
