Well, looking at the DVD Talk article, its notability (or newsworthiness) is being questioned and the article may be subject to deletion. It's also a weak article that only uses references from the website itself. However, do a [ invalid url ] from the Village Voice and San Francisco Chronicle.
Things have surely changed in the two years since the original post, and I'm happy to see that. Wikipedia has become more relevant and widely used, and obviously porn is being covered thoroughly because of that. In that sense it is a good measure of society in general. It is sad to see how cruel people can be. Sure, it is a choice to work in porn, but it is a right to be treated with respect. Personal details, even birth name, are private info and if you do not want it publisized, it shouldn't be. Even though you are in the media. But being famous, it is hard to avoid that someone with time on their hands and a bit of resources can find it out. But it should not be widely available unless you want it to be. There are a lot of creeps out there who are just dying to find some "personal" info of any kind on the people they want to hurt. It is just sad.
I see there's still no page up for Tiffany Holiday. :^( Several years ago, I saw Ginger Lynn's page after reading in a blog that she was upset about some jerk who was putting up personal info about her. I went to the page and edited this stuff out. I have checked from time to time and it has not been put back on her Wiki page. I'd like to edit the picture to show a pic that does her more justice, but I can't see how to edit that part.
