I found that this year's Expo was smaller than previous years. Alot of empty space. Saturday was a good turn out it seemed but Sunday was terrible. Seems less fans attended this year. My guess was the cost of accomodations and airfare? Who knows.
Also no Vivid on Sunday. This reminded me of my first time attending in 2006. The Expo's last day was a Sunday and Vivid didn't show up. Disappointing for sure. Wicked had all thier contract girls there. No Jesse Jane at Digital Playground though.
This year it just didn't seem to have the excitement of previous years.
Although I finally got to get a pic with all the Vivid Girls and Wicked Girls and have them all sign the poster you get from them. First time ever for me. Always would get the poster but not all to sign.
Evil Angel i think was the best booth for sure. Always having 4 girls signing at once, and then the Belladonna line up was huge. I never bothered because I was in line to meet Jessica Drake, who was the only Wicked Girl I had yet to meet on Sunday.
I must say that the years past annoyances of "friends" walking in front of the line to say "hi" and "talk" to the girl was very minimal. And guys looking for interviews seemd to be a less pain in the ass as previous years.
Yet again guys with thier $5000 cameras would practically push you out of the way to get pics of whoever you were in line to meet. One guy literally shoved me out of his way with his elbow so he could snap pics of the Vivid Girls when I was about to walk up to meet the 3 who were signing as it was my turn in line. I guess in a way it is expected and acceptable but some of these guys should be a bit more considerate and not think they own the place to take pics. And some guys snap about 25 pics each of a girl, then they start talking to her so you wait longer. Again being a 'fan" and not "trade" is why I am guessing. Sometimes I wonder if being a fan is considered the bottom of the barrel in this industry? LOL
Funny thing about alot of these guys too is, you ask them if they could snap a pic for you with your camera and they say they are too busy.
A surprise was seeing Havana Ginger. My god the girl is gorgeous in person. Didn't recognize her with her shorter hair at first. Awesome girl though.
Marie Luv, an awesome person who is so friendly to meet.
When I met Nyomi Banxxx I loved talking to this girl. She is sexy, smart and hot.
Pinky was somewhat of a disappointment to meet. Last year I only got a pic with her, this year I also talked to her. When I told her it would great to see her and Cherokee do more white guys, she basically said it does not make her money like all black porn does and that IR with Black guy and White girls is where the money is.
Jada Fire, class act, sexy girl, gorgeous, and is so down to earth. Was a highlight to meet her again.
Roxy DeVille is the real deal i found. Never seen any of her movies, first time meeting her and she impressed me big time. She was fun, down to earth, has a killer smile and did not seem bored one bit. Oh and damn the girl is hot!!
And Kitten, Kapri Styles and Sinnamon Love were all so nice to meet. I enjoyed talking to them about how they do more white guys like Jada and Marie, and as each said there is a market for it regardless what some say.
Met Gentleman John who is on ADT. he was such a shy type of guy, I expected someone wild LOL. Just kidding John. Was cool to meet you.
Big Ed was at the Adam & Eve booth again this year but was security for Kayden Kross seen as Carmen Luvana is done in the biz. I didn't bother getting a pic with her. He probably would have ended up in the pic like the 3 years I got a pic with carmen and he was in each in the back LOL. He did throw me a shirt mind you when I was meeting Nina Hartley.
Anyhow that was some of my tidbits for this year's AEE. This will probably be my last time going as well.

Personally, I loved the girls-to-fans ratio on Sunday. More girls showed up than I expected to, and smaller crowds to deal with. Consider me glad they're keeping the same schedule next year. Too early to say if I'll be there, but I'm hopeful.
If it's press, or if the guy waited in line with everybody else, then I have absolutely no problem with this behavior. I prefer to chat with the girl first, then finish up with the photos. If the girl doesn't know you, you're much more likely to get better photos that way. But anyways, when it's a random d-bag who just appeared out of nowhere to snap away, then I'm in total agreement with you.
That's pretty much the same impression and experience that everybody shares when they first cross paths with Miss DeVille, myself included. It's impossible not to fall in love with Roxy once you've shared the same air with her.
Shy or not, Jenna Haze seems to love Gentleman John. I was behind him in Jenna's line, and I felt like he was a seriously tough act to follow. I properly met John not long after that. Cool dude.
I was never a big fan of Big Ed or the rest of Adam & Eve's staff in years past. However, I thought they did a superior job of controlling and organizing the crowd this year. They always identified who was next in line, and made sure the fans had a clear space around them to interact with the girls. Same can be said for the booth personnel at Wicked Pictures and Digital Playground. First show in quite some time where I actually felt grateful towards the security staff.

I thought Wicked had the best security and booth set up. No problems in line ups, no one cutting in the lines. People wanting to snap away some pics had to stand behind the roped part along the front. Vivid's was terrible this year. People just cutting in line walking past you, walking up to the table not being in line. Security doing nothing.
Evil Angel had a great set up as well as Jules Jordan did too. I thought Briana Banks booth set up was really unique. And herself and the girls all looked classy and sexy.
Elegant Angel booth I was attempting to line up but it was so unorganized that between the shirt throwing to the crowd to not having specific lines to get into to meet the girls, I gave up after 10 minutes LOL.
All in all I had a great time this year. Met who I basically wanted to.
And like you said Anime, it is hard not to fall in love with Roxy DeVille. My god the girl is so cool, so sweet and so fun.
Shayla LaVeaux was a treat to meet. The girl is so tiny!! My god but what a sexy smile she has.

Meeting and talking to Brad Armstrong of Wicked was great. he is a fellow Canadian and signed Fallen for me and posed for a pic. Later when he was behidn the stage and I was meeting Kirsten Price I said "Brad you need to get in this pic, a Canadian on each side of Kirsten". He was a cool guy.
Myself, Kirsten Price & Brad Armstrong

After Jenna, I most liked meeting Marie Luv and Dana DeArmond. Madelyn Marie told me that her very first scene was in Stoya Atomic Tease, when I had her sign that movie's cover. I met Stoya on Friday, late in the day. On Saturday I decided that as much as I may like some of the the other DP girls, those lines weren't worth it for an autograph and a quick pose with me. So I just shot a few quick pics of them from the front of the booth, over the crowd. I actually never met Roxy. The few times that I've posted in her ADT thread, she didn't seem to appreciate my contributions. So as much as I like her, I've gotten the impression that she doesn't like me, so I was less inclined to figure out exactly where her line began. I shot some pics of her, though.
I also liked meeting Joanna Angel, Faith Leon, Daisy Marie, and August. There are some pics I took of Daisy's feet in the nudie footie thread in WN&N. Angelina Valentine was taking a break when I finished with Briana Banks, but they let me come back through the exit to meet Angelina, when she returned. The panel discussion with the stars at the FyreTV stage on Saturday was pretty good for being in that setting, and Penny Flame's and Bobbi Starr's side trip to the seminar stage was memorable for those of us who were there. At the full panel, Joanna's confession that she recently faked her orgasm for the first time ever, in a solo masturbation scene was funny, as was every time that Travis Knight and Randy Spears answered a more female-specific question.
There are plenty of times while I was there when I thought once was probably going to be enough for me, but now, a few days later, I do think I would like to go back. Though of course I would do some things differently. I would like to go with someone else, but I don't have any real life friends likely to be interested in going to a porn convention. Not now, anyway.

Personally, I enjoy Saturday as it requires me to practice guerilla photography with all the people around. I've shot over people's shoulders, under people's arms, and between people's legs. I end up shooting more people because I can not stick to one person very long because I'm not trying to hold up the existing line. I also get more interesting candids that way from the girls who instinctively pose whenever they see a camera. So yeah, I'm that guy that randomly appears out of nowhere.
Now if a girl beckons me over to break the line for a chat and some posed shots, I go and do it.

I also liked meeting AnnMarie Rios. Somehow I omitted her from my earlier post. But I kept going by the Erotique booth, again and again, until she was there.

I agree with a lot of this except that I found the security at Adam and Eve to be a joke...I waited an hour and 30 mins to meet Bree Olson, than right as I get there, the d-bag security pulls her away for some stupid interview...fifteen minutes later she finally returns...the good thing was that Bree Olson is beautiful and cool as hell...the bad thing is that the Adam and Eve security was a joke...The security at Wicked was great I found...and even though it blows ass that DP never lets the girls sign until fan hours, on Sunday they did me and my friend a solid by letting us meet Sasha Grey long after she was supposed to be done signing...

Doubt it. Not for Savanna Samson and I'm not big enough to shove anyone aside.

Okay, couple things here.
First, you can't take your one example and use it conclude that "Adam and Eve security was a joke". If you flip a quarter once and it comes up Tails, do you immediately assume that it'll always come up Tails?
Second, how do you know the interview wasn't scheduled ahead of time? I'm not assuming it was set up earlier, but how do you know it wasn't?

You make valid arguments, especially your first point...What bugged me and possibly the others in line was that not only was she an hour late, but she barely signed and then kept getting pulled for interviews...I'm sorry, but if the schedule says a star is signing between certain times, than they should sign between those times, barring illness or something similar...interviews can and should be done during times when fans and trade aren't there so no one has to get inconvenienced...plus, the press are uppity tools anyway...

Have to remember, we fans are lowest on the pole. Most companies could careless about us, only our $60-$80 admission is cared. If you have a pass that you wear around your neck and/or have an expensive camera..only then are you looked at as someone. My guess from seeing this previous years is that the majority of the industry would rather the AEE go back to no fans allowed and only trade. Fans are only good for thier money. As was told to me last year, if you do not like how you are treated then don't go. But if you go, be prepared to expect these disruptions. Want better access, I was told to get a trade pass.
Jules Jordan and Evil Angel were the best booths. Wicked was good BUT too many times the girls just got up and left. 3 times i had to line up again to meet Jessica Drake. First time I was 3 people away from my turn and she left the stage to go to the back. Some guy was lucky who was in the store part of thier booth and stopped her for a pic. 2nd time she was not back yet, I had lined up but left when my turn came as I had already met Alektra Blue, Makayla Mendez and Kaylani lei. Finally the third time all the girls were there. The guy before me got his girlfriend to ask security if he could get a photo with all 6 girls and so the security guy gathered the 6 for the photo. I then got to meet Jessica Drake, then wanted to get a pic with Stormy, she was just ready to walk to the back and I asked her if she could sign the poster. That way I had all 6 sign it.

I agree with everything you just said. I kept passing by that Adam & Eve booth on Sunday morning, waiting for somebody, anybody to show up. By the time Courtney Cummz arrived, I knew the line was too long. Even more so when Bree started signing. I love both those girls, but I couldn't justify waiting in their lines when there were too many other girls I'd never met before. Girls who will probably only appear at AEE this year.

No way should that be expected or acceptable man, just because we're fans doesn't mean we're pussies! It was funny and interesting how press reacted differently to me sans pass in comparison to when I was wearing it and 'chilling' with the 'stars' lol.
When I was waiting in line on a few occasions guys tried that shit with me and I just stood up for myself man. Manners cost nothing but your right, a lot of the 'BIG' camera boys were very rude, I made personal notes to remember who they were working for and its funny how they don't ever remember that elbow check or the reciprocating kidney strike when they are asking you for a pic. Ok thats a bit much for simple jostling for position but man, if someone physically pushes you to get in the line then you better let them know you're there!
I don't want anyone to put a negative vibe on my meeting with a girl so you need to nip that rude shit in the bud as quickly as it appears. I always call out the pushers and make them aware of their rudeness. When you tell them where the back of the que is you know that there's 20 or more guys who are gonna back you up on that too! Lol!
I really hope you don't still feel this way about 'all' the companies as I don't think 'all' of them are like that or certainly not 'all' the actual models. Most girls that I met really appreciated the chance to meet and chat with their fans, I hope that you get to meet Belladonna next time. She could certainly change your opinion for sure! :D
I found her to be the single MOST committed to her fans that I met. Always charming, focused and almost intimate in real life. As I was waiting in line I even saw her security guy turning 'famous' que jumpers away and explaining that they should join the line as this was her wishes to be fair to all. Wow to her, totally worth the long wait.
I admired her as a model and director before I met her but wow I respect her even more now and her loyalty to her fans just makes her even more real, and that's from my experience as a fan not wearing the pass!

I couldn't agree more with what you said...Even though I had a trade pass, I always try and help someone with their pic taking or whatever...and I usually get great results in return...and yeah, Belladonna was one of the best experiences at this years show...she's always a class act with her fans...and just cause someone gets in as a fan instead of trade or press, doesn't mean they should be treated as scum...nor should they act rudely either...

hi there... great pictures from the show!
i keep up with stuff on the board & i just wanted to say that every day of the show (with the exception of the last day when we were all allowed to be an hour late) i was there on time signing...my fans are my #1 priority. you guys are why i sign without a lunch break. i hate turning people away. sometimes, interviews get scheduled for us that we know nothing about, and even then, sometimes great opportunities present themselves with no notice and we're suddenly snatched (pun intended) away from the booth... but i'm really glad we got to meet, and REALLY glad you got all 6 of us! that's no easy feat...
and a special thanks to everyone who came out. i've read things about how much "slower" people said it was, but you know what? we had a CRAZY busy show!
kisses,

My first time meeting you jessica was last year and when I was attending this year I said to myself " have got to line up and meet Jessica Drake for sure"
This was the first time I got to meet all the Wicked Contract Girls. Loved it.

Just wanted to note that jessica kept signing for an hour for an hour after she was scheduled to be done on the last day of the convention when other people left an hour earlier than they were supposed to.
She always took the time to pose for a picture or two for me although it could be her noticing my jumping up and down behind the backs of people in line.

I totally agree...Jessica and the other Wicked Girls were class acts all the way...the last 4yrs it's obvious that if you want to meet the hottest and most accessable girls hit the Wicked Booth...

From when I got to meet her in 2008 and then again this year, Jessica Drake is definitely great to her fans.
Even though I lined up 3 times as a total at the Wicked booth this year, I was determined to meet her. First time she was not up there yet with the others, 2nd time she had to leave for an interview but that was fine because I had the pleasure of meeting Brad Armstrong after that and then I seen Jessica go back to signing and so I got in line again.
I have way more respect for Wicked than I do for Vivid. At least Wicked did show up with all 6 of the girls and Randy Spears on Sunday, when Vivid decided not to show on Sunday at all.
