Long after she's out of the business and is raising her family of freaky cats and 2 daughters with Daniel on a farm in Iowa, I will still love and adore her. But that is not why I've voiced my displeasure at her not being nominated. I truly and honestly beleive that she was MORE than deserving of it. I know little of the AVNs or the political nature of how it goes down, but from using the "internetS" and searching the "google," it does seems a lot like the real academy awards in many ways. From what I've read, it seems like some years the winner is a total dark horse that no one really thought would win or deserved to win and other years it seems to be a winner who is getting an award that people feel was deserved from previous years of not winning. You always know watching the Oscars that if someone very old, who's never won, is nominated in a major category, they're automatically the odds on favorite to win. I guess if everyone has fun than it really doesn't matter, but based on the kind of nasty debate in another forum here about the AVNs, it's just too bad that they don't seem too receptive to their fans or have much of a desire to listen to new ideas that could possibly make the awards just as fun, but better. I know, at the end of the day, these awards things are primarily done for insiders, but when you consider how many people buy and rent this stuff and actually do care about who wins and whether it's seems "fair" or not, you should be able to see that the fans are justified in making a lot of their complaints. I know this thread had become less serious and, in part, I've done quite a bit to make it maybe too much about Dana, but I just felt very strongly about her snubbing as at least a nominee and as a fan of the biz, I wanted to express that and my support for her. That said, while I won't be there and won't watch whatever version gets broadcasted, I willing be pulling one hundred and fifty percent for Bobbi Starr. Not because I don't think Jenna Haze deserves it (in fact, I think she'll be the winner), but because based soley on THE YEAR that they're looking back at, I think Bobbi is the most deserving of the nominees. The starlet of the year list doesn't exactly excite me. I like Nikki Jayne a lot, but has she really been in enough stuff to deserve a nomination? I would pick Priya Rai but it's likely that Stoya is odds on favourite to win. Out of curiosity has a girl who won best new starlet of the year ever gone on to win performer of the year in the very next year? Nothing says romance like anal sex.
