It looks like double vag is becoming more and more frequent and even overtaking regular DPs. I even see a lot of it in the OF/fansly/MV content creator space. What's everyone's opinion of it?

Personally I find regular DP with anal more interesting and satisfying...

I really like DPP scenes - just something very hot about it. I love that there is a surge of these types of scenes. Would be amazing if my fav pornstar, Phoenix Marie, would finally do it.

Overtaking regular DP? In which world?

DVP is the go-to route for non-anal performers if they want to perform something extra with "Double" in the name. Of those I have seen several (Sky Bri comes to mind first and foremost).
Besides that, it is still niche, as is DAP (contrary to what Legalporno might want you to believe)

In mainstream DP is probably more common but content creators on OF/fansly/etc more commonly do DVP from what I seen.

^^I think lex is dead on for why non-anal models do DVP and I suspect the reason why they are more common on those platforms is simply because the creators/promoters can entice hopeful fans to fork over a shitload of money by tricking them into thinking that their favorite girl is about to do it. They will usually use words like her first double penetration or see her do something she has never done. Sadly it works and a lot of people pay and then find out that while it is a technical double penetration. In porn terms it's not.
