Hey, what's up. I wrote in last week asking if anyone had seen Jake Steed's "Little White Chicks, Big Black Monster Dicks 17", and what they thought of it. Well, just today I picked up my copy. I was actually thinking of doing a review on it since ADT didn't have one. But that's not really why I'm writing this thread.
I watched it, and I have to totally take my hat off to Jake Steed. Very nice piece of work! The girls looked hot and the energy in the scenes was even hotter. However, there's something with it that I don't know what to think about. On the front/back cover, they really try to push racism as the plot for the movie. They talk about avenging "whitey" for 400 years of racism, and then in each scene of the movie, the basis for it is that each girl makes some kind of overt racist comment(continuously using the n-word), and then they pay for that by getting reamed out by a " black monster dick."
Ya know, I'm a realist, and I don't take anything too seriously. If you've seen this flick, you would know that the scenes are actually sort of humorous in their own little way. It's just that bringing up race relations over and over in a porno kind of left a funny taste in my mouth.
I'm definitely not saying it's a bad thing, or a good thing that Jake Steed did that, just kind of different. I just wanted to hear what other people think about that. Thanks!!
That's always been their little gimmick. To generate a bit of controversy with the Title and storylines. It's not really necessary though, as the scenes are usually good enough to speak for themselves. If LWC only had swallowing, it would rival UP Your Ass in terms of stroke value. I wish they would bring the series back to the US though, as not everyone has a Euro girl fetish.
I remember a movie in the early 80s (maybe a Dark Brothers -but I can't remember) that had a black chick getting boned by some white guys WEARING KLAN OUTFITS. Now that was pretty damn sick if you ask me )
Yeah, I remember a buddy of mine had this one. I'm almost positive it was indeed a Dark Brothers release. The chick was kneeling on the floor as these two dudes wearing KKK outfits come strolling in. Definitely around '82-'84.
I also remember the previews on that tape showed Tracy Lords in other DB releases like "Black Throat." But TL does a white guy though, I think (that was a long time ago...)
I have often found the past titles rather funny, however I can totally appreciate your point of view. Although not having seen this particular title (and my comments are not totally targeted towards Jack Steed), there is a fine line between light racial banter and blatant racism. I believe the editors/ actors / directors should tread carefully and view the provisional title many times and get third party views before production and release. Although this genre of film may create publicity, it may also push away some of the loyal viewers.
If TT Boy is now running the series, doesn't that make the racial angle even more questionable?
When Jake Steed was in charge, he could get away with setups that present blacks as rapists, etc, because he is (suposedly) black himself. But what is TT Boy's excuse?
BTW, what exactly is Jake Steed's ethnic mixture? The keeper of records for his vids is always listed as 'J. Okezie' (or sometimes 'Jason Okezie'). As the keeper of records is usually the proprietor of the company, is Okezie Jake's real name? It's an unusual name - sounds kinda Japanese to me. Could Jake really be a big black monster Nip???

I think you Americans think too much about racism and interracial. Its just porn, I say. I know it is not reality on film. All I want is something to wank off to. Why should I care if black actor looks like a rapist of if white actress looks like being raped? Just relax and enjoy what you see on screen!
David J I am pretty sure that Jake is biracial, a mix between black and white. I might be wrong but I am pretty sure I have read that a while back. BTW Okezie is also an African surname as well as I had an African guy who went to grad school with me with the same last name.
Also it seems that TT Boy's association with Jake Steed Productions and the Monster series has come to an end as of Monsters #17
I don't want to diverge of the original topic. But I am of Japanese origin and I find the word 'NIP' particularly offensive...Jap or Japanese would be more appropriate!!!
To Shameless: I'm not American, and I agree we could do without all the racial angles. But if I were black, I would be very offended by the way blacks are portrayed in LWCBBMD.
To Samurai: Just curious, but as Nippon is the Japanese name for Japan, why should 'Nip' be more offensive than 'Jap'? (BTW, reminds me of the old magazine cover, showing Emperor Hirohito boarding a plane, with the caption 'There's a nasty nip in the air'!)
