I guess this is David Stanley's first Wicked movie. I find it interesting that they made him debut with no contract girls in the cast. Perhaps more interesting (to some) is that Nicole Sheridan has two b/g scenes in which Voodoo is nowhere to be seen. And Voodoo has a non-Nicole scene. Is this a new development? I don't think I've seen them apart in years.

Bottom line, I thought it was very good. Lots of dialogue, nice character exploration, almost no "groan" moments.

Pros: Well-acted by most of the cast, with Nicole carrying the movie. Kimberly Kane is quite good in a medium-sized supporting role.

Kperv should like the return of Nicole's rainbow-striped panties. They get very good play during her blowjob scene with Voodoo.

Nice supporting cast. I enjoyed my first exposure to Justine Joli.

Cons: I don't know what Stanley's doing with the varying picture quality, with some shots in raw-looking video. I'm sure there's some thematic point, but it was lost on me.

Stanley's rep for sex scenes is decidedly mixed, and that's borne out here. I didn't recognize Eva Angelina in her scene, partly because of warbrobe and makeup issues, but mostly I think that indicates that Stanley hasn't displayed the character sufficiently. You have to let us see her. The scene, which is actually good and vigorous, ends with what seems to be a pretty massive double load on her face. But I think we actually aren't shown Evan Stone's half of it happening, and the whole denouement is shown from one low-angle view that's mostly chin and boobs. We never get a good look at her kisser, and what's the point of a facial then?

Wrapping up: It's strange, I've only seen four or five David Stanley movies, even though I think I've liked every one. I guess Vivid casting and technical issues have kept me away. But now that he's with Wicked, there's a good chance I see all his movies from here on out.

Haven't gotten this one yet but will.

Obi - Don't be surprised to find out if this one was actually shot before he had the contract but released after. Sort of like Stormy's first Wicked movie "Heat".

Both Nicole and Voodoo have done seperate scenes before I thought. But you are right it has been a long time.

I just watched this one last night. It was... interesting. I liked it, but there was some stuff that was just off, mainly Evan Stone's little scene. Still, I liked the sex scene between Nicole and Randy Spears. All about the candle wax. I also loved the ending. Nice to see a change in tone from David Stanley. Hopefully his next movie is going to build on what he did right here.

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to respond to Lee's thoughts earlier about whether or not Polarity was shot before or after David Stanley's began his contract. He was indeed under contract at the time he shot it. He put alot of love into it and I think the final results - as unconventional as they may be for some - bear that out.

Here are my own thoughts on Polarity.

As far as Eva's scene goes, I agree almost completely with Obibong--except that I loved the way she was dressed and made up. :) I thought it was the most exciting sex scene in the movie, but at the same time, one of the shortest and most poorly shot. ::sigh::

Unlike RubyRed, I did feel like it fit, though.

Anyway, there are more specifics in the review.

Just watched it today (review coming later) and really liked it. I think it's probably the best of Stanley's movies I've seen so far. It's very melancholy, which really played into my mood when I watched it today, and very nicely done. The story was nicely developed with good characters and the sex scenes actually fit into the movie. I can't wait to see what Stanley does next!
