No cast IDs at the start of the scene (well, at least the girl deserves to have a name ...) Sometimes cheesy music with no "live" sound -- even if it' all glug-glug-glug. No chapter stops, so you have to FF thru scenes, and then the frames jam up -- it's an XRent rental, so maybe there's a flaw/scratch somewhere that messes up the FF in a couple of scenes. No bonus/backstage footage, just crappy previews/trailers. This is exactly why I don't bother with Devil's Films. I thought they had improved but this thing is so barebones it should be hanging out with Skeeter at the 7-Eleven begging for dimes. Yes, the BJs are fine -- even if it's mostly just straight tight shots with little variation. Jake Malone's "Throat Gaggers," Mike John's "POV ..." lines and Jules's "Feeding Frenzy" demolish this stuff on a quality level. Anyway, I'm dropping this one back in the mail tomorrow. The girls are HOT, but I'd rather see them under higher-value conditions. Just my thoughts. I wouldn't even raise my hand in disapproval if there had not been so much talk recently on ADT about how Devil's was moving up the ladder -- but this title is clearly not part of that upgrade. | DreamWeaver Member 288 Posts 10/02 | Posted - Mar 30 2004 : 12:19AM What I immediately noticed with Devils is they do have very poor DVD extras, which I would say many of us place limited importance on providing the rest of the DVD is good, and their editing isn't quite as good as many other popular studios. Otherwise, I've been pleased with many of the girls they're presenting and the technical merits. ps. I find it amusing how a few have now commented on Throat Gaggers as Jake Malone's line considering he's only done one title in the series to date. ...And a very average effort on his part. [Link] |

Just watched some of #17 yesterday, and the scenes were all well shot, paced, and staged, with a good cast. Some scenes start with 69, others with the girl on her knees, some on a bed, etc., with a variety of different camera angles. Most importantly, the girls' faces are featured prominently ... often with their eyes open, and making eye contact, not necessarily looking directly into the camera, but at their performing partners, which is the best kind imo. The Feeding Frenzy series has very good casts and production values, and are extremely well photographed, but almost all of the scenes are multiple guys on one girl, which I don't care for, and for some reason I find JJ's style almost completely non-erotic.
