The best way I can describe it would be to say that if you cherry picked a company or two you would like to perform IR for and then refused to perform it for other companies where the content of the scene might differ (say Wicked vs. Dogfart), you would essentially hurt the companies feelings and that could influence their decision to hire you for other scenes as well. That brings me to my second reason, which is the content of the scene. Personally, I like watching IR porn myself. I used to tease a close friend in the industry about how she is exactly the type of fair skinned, beautiful, petite blonde I would ideally get off to getting absolutely destroyed in an IR scene. Key word: destroyed. I don't perform excessively hardcore scenes, and as a 5 year veteran of adult film it isn't because I'm working up to it. I don't like being roughed up or degraded in a scene (I am actually highly sensitive to any verbal degradation at all, and my skin happens to be extremely sensitive as well). I like to fuck on camera like a dirty little slut- not be called one. I understand the niche and what IR fans want to see.. and it isn't a romantic scene for one of the softer companies. An actress I know recently did perform her first IR scene for Wicked (BBG) and this is what IR fans had to say about it, "Meh. It's also with a white guy and in a Wicked pictures condom scene, I don't find that to be a satisfying IR debut.": http://ir-tube.net/forum/ash-hollywood-rekindled-t146564.html I get it because without fail, when a company is mentioned that fans would really like to see me perform IR for, it is Dogfart. Let me put it this way.. I wouldn't perform that type of scene for that particular company with a white guy either because of the emphasis on degradation of the female. I know some of the male performers personally hired by that company and I have often wondered if they find it offensive from their perspective that they are consistently asked to play to such a cliche negative stereotype. Most of those guys in real life are the complete opposite of the snarling guy depicted growling with a grill while wearing shades by the way… what's with that Dogfart? Technically, I would deem this companies portrayal of black men as racist, but I acknowledge that as a genre this is part of the appeal. But I digress, because I actually do "get it" as a viewer of the genre myself and the knowledge that IR is more of a genre than a talent selection based on skin color. As a genre, IR is a "type" of scene just like "gang bangs" would be a genre with requisite thematic elements beyond the literal sex act. So, thus far, I probably won't be performing in an IR scene because I don't like to perform certain necessary elements to the genre. As the topic from the forum I posted illustrates, the literal interpretation of performing a scene with a black man is not what IR fans are asking for when they ask if I will ever perform the genre. And as I initially brought up, even if I did perform a literal interpretation of an IR scene I would have then added it to my repertoire and could potentially feel pressure to perform the thematic interpretation of the genre, which I would rather not do. I hope even though I know some of you will be disappointed by my response or disagree with it that I have done a reasonable job explaining my reasoning. I would prefer not to turn this into an argument, as I feel that my feelings should be respected and the sensitivity of the subject acknowledged, I am open to further discussion on the topic. xoxo [Link] |

She shot another one in 2012, and hasn't done it since. She still gets plenty of work. IR never hurt her career and no company expects her to perform it. There are countless number of girls who have cherry picked when it comes to IR in their career and none of it was degrading, nor were they pressured into doing more after deciding they didn't like it. You have a big name, I never understood the notion that shooting one IR scene and seeing if you like it can hurt a girls career. I think some starlets dig way to deep into it. I think it's simple, some girls just aren't comfortable doing interracial, it's ok, it's your body and your choice. Interracial isn't for everyone. I just don't think a girl has to come up with an explanation as to what they do with their bodies. I think some girls feel the need to explain so they wont be tagged racist like i'm sure you have over the years, it doesn't make you racist because you don't wanna fuck someone. I'd also like to add that there are many girls that have done IR, but have never shot for Dogfart. You say you are a industry veteran, so of course you know this. You say you are a industry veteran, so of course you know who these companies are. Your post is kinda weird, especially considering you say that IR is a niche you like to watch in your personal life. Its almost like you are contradicting yourself. Anyway, 'preciate the answer, at least you area willing to address it (unlike many girls), and I wish nothing but awesome things to happen to you in the future.
